Tatsuya vs Lina Fight ep 7

In ep 7 we saw Tatsuya beat Lina but it has been implied so many times that he would have died if brionaic was aimed at his head. Also, he didn't have time to react because Lina's casting speed is monstrous and if she aimed for his head he would have definitely been killed because that's where his MCA is located and the MCA allows magicians to cast magic and without it, they can't cast magic.

Lina is strong, very much so but she's too emotional and soft, to say the least.

Not necessarily. Tatsuya’s casting speed for Decomposition and Regrowth is just as good as Lina’s, so theoretically he could’ve just dismantled the spell before it reached him. Also, it’s been implied in the series that even going for the head wouldn’t kill Tatsuya, as the speed at which he can cast Regrowth subconsciously is faster than his MCA/brain can be destroyed. The only way to really kill him is to force him to constantly cast Regrowth until his MCA overloads, or get him with a surprise attack such as Cocytus that’s simply an instant kill and can’t be recovered from.
