| Volume 6, Chapter 3: I do like how Col is taking a methodical approach in dealing with the problem, but this chapter unfortunately highlights a key weakness in Isuna Hasekura. The author doesn't seem to understand the complexity and logic of theology, or least he doesn't concerning Christianity. The problem her is trying to recognize what is actually sacred and what is good. The key reason human remains were protected in Christianity is because that Religion promises full resurrection in both body and soul. You will have your body again so you protect and manage the bodies of the dead. This world seems to have a Church that has Gnostic principles where only the soul is important and the body has no further purpose after death. |
