Higurashi When They Cry: Abducted by Demons Arc
| "scary" is relative, for me for example I can't find anything scary in animation, but this anime does very well in creating a climate of tension what can be the "scary" you are looking for, and about the order to watch , just see higurashi no naku koro ni>>>>higurashi no naku koro ni kai, there are some OVAs like higurashi no naku koro ni rei that you can watch later (you can skip the pool episode) and if you really like the first two seasons pretend that higurashi no naku koro ni Sotsu and Gou don't exist and be happy!!! |
| its not exactly horror its more gory horror the show uses music to give you goosebumps unexpected stuff etc (i haven't watched this show in a long time) the person above me explains better but if you like it by the end i recommend you watch shiki another masterpiece in horror anime |
| I dont think I'd describe this anime as scary, but it's very disturbing, and it definitely creates tension. This also had some pretty good build-up. |

| We can count this as a psychological type of horror, and for a lot of people psychological horror is the most terrifying genre in horror. Because it lives in your head for free, not like jumpscares that only makes you scared for 3-4 seconds. |

| Creepy, but not scary per say. I don't think anime has the capacity to be scary anyway. Still a great series though. Watch it. |
