| Visual Novels have different endings depending on the choices the player/reader makes, a lot of visual novel adaptations mix up the different routes together like Steins Gate but for Fate the routes were adapted separately. |
| Fate-verse is based on principle of multiverse, that's every choice we make causes universe to split into many.Each having slight difference, depending upon the consequences of the decision made. For instance, Fate Heaven's Feel and fate ulbw are alternate timelines set in different universe. The split of universe was caused by assassin loosing control and the things that followed it. Each character in every timeline is different and independent of other version of it. |
