You should really only watch this if you've read the VN.

Imagine watching Attack on Titan but skipping seasons 1-3 and still expecting to feel immersed in the world and characters enough for the finale to mean anything. That's what this adaptation basically is.

No. This adaptation isn't starting from the beginning of the story. It's only adapting the end, think of watching AoT starting from season 4, so I'd just recommend skipping it entirely if you have even a modicum of interest.

This is one of the rare animes that made me feel I am in the anime with its atmosphere and the topic seems interesting. I like these kind of animes but there aren't much of them sadly.

That sounds great, always glad to see opinions from people new to the franchise! Right now some things are maybe a bit unclear but they planned this anime to be accessible to newbies so it will probably be explained later on. I would recommend to watch the anime and if you want more - because they probably won’t adapt everything in its first season, to look into the original VNs, it’s a pretty big franchise!

Exactly, since the game and anime producers are so confident in their skills to make it watchable for first timers, lets give them a chance. After all, this is kinda like what their gambling on right now. Make it or break it.

At least Black Marks was interesting, Alternative is as boring as it can get.

It's pretty much butchered. The VN did a great job expanding the characters and story. Maybe i should say recover, since it's first half mainly follows the LN with additional scenes.
