Somebody explain this dialogue from Oreimo Season 2 episode 13.

I really liked oreimo. But I don't understand what does this line signify.
"The big brother you looked up to never existed to begin with"

I don't understand what did Minami mean by these words when Kirino asked her to giver her cool oniichan back. This scene is when kirino(when she was little) sees kyouske's personality changing so she runs to minami.
Because I see that Kyouske was a talented guy when young. So why did she say that this is not the real kyouske which kirino looked up until now. That's why I don't understand what kind of person kyouske was which minami saw in him but kirino didn't.

I dont know if theyve answered you yet but the anime removed all of kyousuke's past since they didnt adapt volume 11 of the LN. It detailed the kind of hyperactive guy that exceled at everything that he used to be and the event that led him to change into to average guy he is now. They also removed another character from the series who was also involved so I can see how the scene could cause confusion since the anime only depicted him as a caring brother who could run fast as a kid. I will read this, and see if it clears my doubt or not.

I would appreciate if you can explain that in some words. That why minami said that kyouske was never cool. Only kirino thought it

Well it meant that the admirable,genius and strong older brother that kirino thought he was never really existed. Rather he was always the same and never changed. He just wanted to put a front on his little sister that he was an ideal guy.
