Has the pink blood and more wacky deaths influenced your reaction on anime scenes with red blood and more realistic deaths?

I've watched a lot of Danganronpa type media lately, but today I decided to watch Demon Slayer for the first time. There was quite a bit of blood in the scene where Tanjiro finds his family dead and all the red blood really shocked me.

I feel like if Danganronpa had red blood instead, it wouldn't contribute such a shock factor to me on other bloody scenes from anime with red blood. What are your thoughts?

I mean, if you've only ever watched Danganronpa maybe it would but I've seen things with red blood before so Danganronpa didn't really change anything

I don't think it really matters whether or not blood in anime is red because we already know it's blood.

Umm I kinda agree with you, in that if the blood was red it may be more serious. To me seeing the pink blood kinda makes me laugh even though some of the Danganronpa deaths are brutal

i think that the pink blood and unique deaths were really intriguing to me. and (spoiler ⚠️) it made more sense that the deaths were unique because of enoshima’s personality. i think that having the blood be neon pink was a nice touch, it added to the mood of the anime. the unique deaths and neon pink blood i think did a good job a hinting towards who could be the quote on quote “mastermind”, antagonist etc. i think it reflected that the antagonist was kind of silly and not to be taken seriously .

The game probably would not have been allowed to be published, along with the anime probably only being available through streaming services and not aired on tv

Ooo actually I kind of feel similar. Not that it affects me more, but it’s made me a little more considerate of people dying I guess? Like years ago, I’d see deaths and think of them as meaningless and stuff, but I guess after danganronpa for some reason makes me a little more sentimental for deaths I would deem pointless before.

honestly no, i think because of danganronpa, the red blood in other anime doesn't affect me. all my friends freak out when they see gøre, meanwhile i remain unfazed.
