Same Bass or different? Same for Canti

So when Haruko got her Bass back, is it the same??? The Chief said "If its your bat you seek, its right there", hinting that its her og. It makes me wonder who the Chief really is and if there's more to her than I know atm.

The question also applies for Canti, I thought he stayed with Naota?
