| Finished rewatching this show in preparation for season 4 and all I can say is, I'm glad I chose to do it. This show was wonderful, this season was wonderful and I'm so hyped now for the next season, most hyped I've been for an anime since Mushoku Tensei's 2nd cour aired last year (although I was even more hyped for that one since that's my favorite overall anime now). The world building that celebrates the Ainu culture really well as well as the times then (and love the amount of Russian featured and voiced in the dialogue), the character interactions, the fantastic pacing and use of music, the dumb but fun moments, the genuine sense of adventure, the twists, etc. Golden Kamuy's a series that has got it all and is a real rollercoaster to watch because of it, and the show continues to improve as time passes. I had a great time with the show, especially this season despite it feeling different to the previous two seasons. Even the side characters got fantastic episodes to flesh them out like Tsukishima for this season. I would give this season a 9.5/10 now, but I would probably rate it a 10 here on MAL for the time being. The other seasons I gave an 8 and 9 respectively, but to be honest, Golden Kamuy is a better anime experience than the sum of its parts. It's when I look at the whole journey collectively together, where I consider this now to be one of my favorite anime nowadays more than just the individual seasons standing out. Geno Studio might not have been the best studio, and the staff members might not have delivered the best quality animation ever, but they really understood the material well, and paced it out superbly to make the show always feel like its moving, but allow character interactions, development and mysteries to be built properly without rushing too much nor taking too slow and stagnant of an approach to make it boring. I hope the new director and new studio in Brain's Base can do a solid enough job with season 4. |

| Sugimoto lying to ashirpa will not end well. It will come back up later guaranteed. Kiroranke died finally. Good. The cause is just, the methods he's been doing not so much. Ogata up to no good with another twist. But another solid season. |

| Three seasons without losing any quality is not an easy feat, yet Golden Kamuy has managed it with a perfect mix of hilarity and drama. Currently, the anime has four seasons without concluding the story yet. I will definitely watch the fourth, but I have to say, waiting for the fifth season without knowing the conclusion, I'm not sure if I want to wait. I'll probably catch up with the manga. |
