| It seems that as the series goes on, Escanor just gets even better. His ideological growth and philosophical change, fighting for someone else instead of himself, THIS is the type of character development that got us hooked on Nanatsu no Taizai in the first place. This arc is the perfect place for him to die. Otherwise, the power scaling of the series would start to sully his completed arc. The dichotomy between Estarossa vs Escanor and Escanor accepting help from Mael is astounding. Whatever anyone says about the plot inconsistencies, the fact remains undisputed that Suzuki is a genius at writing characters. Praise the Sun. |

| I didn't like how "graphic" this chapter was... I mean, we already love Escanor and it will be sad if he died, but showing him covered in blood with his limbs torn apart offers nothing more than shock value. |
