i am looking for an anime in which the MC is in love with a girl who is really pretty and popular but she takes him for granted and don't answer/return his feelings just use him (literally being a bitch). As, he confess to her she breaks his heart.
he moves away from her life.
she realises she miss him and might have some feeling's for him, she try to get in contact with him. As she sees he is different from before he is cool and popular but that's not all as, now he has a girlfriend.
any anime close to this setting is much appreciated

Saiunkoku Monogatari is the similar anime to your search (might be) But I'm sure because as you said that The main character should be a little mean, right? So a bit same happens in it, in the episode where the governess, Shuurie, goes to another city. She met a man who saw her playing a japanese instrument, he fells in love with her immediately. After he decides to look after her as she is new in the city, but she is smart too. He shows alot love and romance to her but she only loves the King who is waiting for her back in her city. And then Shuurie tells him that she ONLY likes him but LOVES the King. So he feels a bit sad and after shuurie leaves, she a bit misses him and wanted to meet him again.
