| The title says it all pretty much, I read the synopsis of the 2nd season and it says something about a separate route..? So can I watch that instead of this.. but then MAL says that this is a prequel to that so they are connected?.. Basically what I want to ask is, is this worth the watch? |

| Uhh it's complicated but basically you can't watch season 2 without season 1. You'll be confused if you just start s2 |

| Ignore the anime and read the visual novel. |
| First season consists of an anime original route, with aspects of the common route and heroine routes of the original visual novel mixed into. It's pretty poorly done and misses a lot of what made the original great. The second season of the anime adapts the two final routes of the VN, which are two linear routes without any branching. Because they're linear, it's way easier to adapt. Adaptation-wise, the second season is WAY better, but still not great. It still leaves out some of the best scenes from the last two routes. If you're curious you can check out the first season. If you like it, I'd read the visual novel afterwards. The first season will spoil a lot from the VN tho, so be warned.
