| Can i read this without reading the prequels like 2wei? I've watched F/SN(mediocre/almost bad), UBW(good) and Zero(great), dropped Apocrypha after a few episodes, it's worst than Deen's adaption, i watched that a long time ago though, so i wouldn't trust my judgement that much. |

You probably wouldn't like the show, but, from what you said, you should really enjoy the movie "Oath Under Show", since It's much closer to what you like. |

The reason people recommend finishing the TV series first is because it gives a lot of world-building and builds a lot of emotional attachment to an essential characters in the movie, not to mention that the movie spoils major plot points from the show. The movie is great regardless, but with the context from the series, it becomes pretty amazing. Try starting with the TV series first. If it hooks you, with the knowledge that it gets more serious and Fate-y the more it progresses, then you'd be better finishing it first. If it doesn't hook you, you may as well just watch the movie at this point since you don't care for spoilers. And who knows, maybe you'll like the movie enough, you'll get back to the show to see how it ends ;) |
