| Yes, since the movie is a sequel, it invokes a lot of plot points from earlier episodes, so the movie would make a whole lot more sense if you've seen the series. Best bet would be to watch both seasons first before the movie, though you should probably skip a few episodes from the Endless Eight arc if you don't want to be bored to death. |
| Dew it fam. You just know you wanna watch the Endless Eight arc in one sitting. Seriously though it certainly improved my viewing experience, all the little nods, callbacks and wibbly wobbly time-y wimey stuff make this fantastic movie better than what it would have been had I skipped over the original series and went straight into the movie. |
