| I haven't read the Fairy Tail manga so I was just wondering if it's okay to watch the movie as in knowing what is going on because looking at the trailer it seems to be like a final arc type thing. |
| I wouldn't recommend for anyone who doesn't know anything that happened in the manga (at least in the Avatar arc) to watch this movie since you'd be spoiled at some key points of some characters' power-ups/new abilities. It's not a "final arc" as it seems to be set between the final two arcs of the series: Avatar and Alvarez Empire (the post-credits scene gave it away). If you're patient enough, wait for the 2018 TV series to start and then, after the Avatar arc ends (should be over either in one or two cours), watch Dragon Cry. |
