| Um can we get a psychological and tragedy tag for this series? That was so fucked up in many ways. Basically, Willem experienced the end of humanity through a dream shown to him by his daughter Almaria who finally revealed her fate to Willem and welcomed him home. 500 years she held on to that hope and wish of her father fulfilling his promise. Willem wakes up from the dream, and surprise he releases his first beast cry. |

| BTW; I'm pretty sure the author meant "Chanteur" ("singer" in French) and not "shiantor" as a spelling for the first beast. That was already what I thought when I read the novels, but on top of this all the texts in papers and stuff in the anime is written in French and the author is participating in the anime quite a bit, so that's even more of a logical choice for spelling right now. + Stuff like "carillons" as well (although this one apparently is also english). |

| Reading this volume then going back to anime episode 3, I realized that the nature of the legendary Kaliyon, Seniolis really parallels Willem. Seniolis was supposedly created by accident when a variety of mundane talismans fused together on the battlefield. A culmination of mediocrity that ultimately turned into something extraordinary - the very same could be said for Willem, who learnt an assortment of techniques and skills to become the strongest Quasi Brave. |

| Damn. The truth about the origin of the Beasts is revealed. Poor Almaria waited over 500 years to welcome Willem home by using her power to preserve their hometown in a dreamlike state. The only way to destroy the dream was for Willem to kill her causing him to become a Beast. I really hope Ren made it. |
