| It was a lot better than the pilot episode and I surprisingly enjoyed it. The animation is still a shame and shouldn't be allowed, but the pacing is good and I think this could be an alright anime adaptation. 4/5 |

| That CG gore tho. Farnesse has a fucking stupid hairstyle. Who the fuck wears twin tails on the battlefield? Also, I'm surprised they didn't chain his stump. Farnesse went to town with that whip on guts and on herself. I knew that bitch wasn't normal, she has no nipples. |

| It was a good episode. One thing that bothered me and I don't know if it was like the manga, but Guts getting captured and by an unintentional knockout stab from a girl was unbelievable seeing he was once in a same scenario with Casca, probably worse, against Adon and he plowed everyone away. |

Gaiking said: they cut the entire lost children storyline so they had to make up for it somehow. the real reason guts was able to be knocked out so easily here is because he had just defeated an apostle and her horde of quasi-apostles. the reason why the HICK's even found him in the first place is because when apostles die their bodies revert back to human so guts leaves a trail of dead bodies in his wake earning him his reputation at this point in timeIt was a good episode. | Forget about animations, they're skipping and changing too much. And what the hell man, did they turn Casca white?!!! That's racist and messed up.. She's punishing herself for losing her cool and torturing Guts, hence "charming" Would have been more charming with the nipples intact as in the manga, but oh well.. |

| As expected again, the choreography still has a lot of 3D in it. Guts ends up getting captured after a tough fight. The CGI is still shitty, but nonetheless, it was an enjoyable episode. |

| Another great episode. I wanted to limit myself to 2 episodes at a time, but I'll just have to go straight onto the next one. Guts got arrested by some Holy Knights group. But not before making it count and cutting some of them up. I thought the old man, the girl and the bandits were all eaten by the demons. But I guess not, it makes it believable that those knights would suspect Guts. I love Guts' smile, the smile of a madman who's seen more than anyone could believe. The way he just cut the bullshit while being interrogated. Every line he said had some weight behind it. Also I'm wondering where he got the gunarm. It couldn't have been made by that old blacksmith he knew, could it? The way he knocked out Farese while escaping, made me chuckle. She can't see the fairy (or elves as they're called now apparently). The episode ends with Guts fleeing with Farese on horse, while being followed by that Green dude with the Ichimaru Gin eyes. And demons are gathering again as well. Also a few thoughts: white Casca does look a bit weird now that I've gotten a better look at her. I wonder why they changed her? Weird decision. And also, they turned Griffith into even more of a femboy it seems. Onto the next episode (and definitely the last one for today). |
