I heard that there are many volumes of novel out already. Do you think it is likely that there will be a continuation of this? Maybe some Sekirei-like ending???

BTW, anyone know where to read the novels in English or Chinese?

judge from the pace of the anime compare to the novel, seems unlikely to have a season 2

Depends if there will be a 2nd season. Maybe, but we will see how it goes down.

No this one is slightly more entertaining than Asura Cryin'.
Only slightly.
Asura Cryin has to be one of the most boring anime I have ever forced myself to watch. At least Kampfer has some interesting characters (well.. one interesting character - Shizuku Sango)
I doubt there will be a second series. Maybe a special or short ova will appear (like with series like Akikan) but not a second series. Or at least I hope not, because although I begrudgingly enjoy this show, I don't want another series XD

How far into the novels is the anime right now? I can't imagine a dozen or so episodes can cover more than 2 or 3 volumes.

You'll find this hard to believe but based on the preview, episode 10 will contain novel 10 (of 10 so far, not counting the three 1/2-tagged sidestory novels). Tons of stuff was omitted in the earlier eps - regrettably so.

You mean episode 11? Episode 10 was out a few days ago (or you mean from the preview of episode 10). Anyway, thanks for the info.

I think the anime's pacing is good. If it takes 10 volumes for the readers to find out that Kaede is evil then it is just dragging itself IMO. As long as the adaptation is faithful to the novel/manga (not fillers like some failure known as Rosario + Vampire) then I am happy.

BTW, did you read it in Japanese (the novel)?

Wut?

Kampfer is fricking Princess Mononoke compared to Asura Cryin'. Kampfer is very entertaining, because it's a parody of terrible anime like Asura Cryin' with nonsensical plots and harems.

And second season? Depends on the DVD sales and the producers.
