the light novel is the original source material and the manga like the anime was just an adaptation
Just because you know how to use a torrent does not give you the god given right to pirate.

It's pretty easy to find pdf. torrents or if you prefer they do sell them at certain Barnes & Nobles. Seeing this makes me want to pick the series back up.

There are a few differences between the anime and novel. But nothing major.
The anime I believe adapted novels 1-3 and 5. I would still read from the beginning.

The novels came first, I'd say read those. The anime only adapted novels 1-3, 5, and half of 7. The only major difference I noticed is that in the first season of the anime

Light Novels of course.
Yoshii Kiria took over as leader of Fairytale and rebuilt it and became one of Tsukunes formidable enemies but let's save that story for another time

Hehe, let me introduce him to you again, kid. This is Shuzen Issa (who is MIA during the final battle), who will become your 'trainer' starting today. You still have much to go if you want to become the headmaster.

Like the two souls have started to become one.
