Yep, the club is still alive (kinda) ^^ .

Not sure if anybody will read this, but well, why not write it anyway:
I've been busy learning japanese (slowly but surely), so I've been concentrating on reading raw and untranslated manga (that, of course, MAL have no idea exist and don't want to add to their database...). As a result, the amount of manga I complete during a year have drastically declined. Beside, I must confess that I'm not really using MAL anymore and I've pretty much migrated to Anilist.
Yet, I'm still fond of this little manga fine art gallery we've made.
So, you know, if one of those day you feel like it, please come and post new beautiful pictures. At the very least, I'll definitly see them. ^^

Hello everyone, I have an important announcement considering a change of "politic" for the club.

This is something I was thinking about for a long time, but always felt bad about it, but now I made my decision about it :
for now own, the pictures submitted on the two threads will not always be added to the permanent gallery collection, and I will be more selective about it.
I guarentee you that it wasn't such an easy decision for me to make, as it does feel like I'll turn into a "dictator of fine art" by doing that, yet, by allowing every submition to make the cut, I felt the purpose of the club was going away and that it wasn't making good for the quality of the galleries.

My goal with the club as always be to create a place were the diversity of manga could be seen and celebrate, to have artist with distictive personality in style be represented, and a lot of time, not too well known manga, since they would be aside from the trend and "coolness" of the most mainstream works (in general).
To say it bluntly, form now on generic and basic shonen/shojo/seinen/watever manga might not make the cut.

I want it to be clear though though, new submitions will never be deleted from the new replies, it simply is that they won't necesseraly be merged to the permanent gallery.

I hope this change will be accepted, and I'll be very open to debating and discussing about it.

You're welcome, it's honestly no problem. I just hope that Imgur holds up as a hosting service and doesn't go down a similar route as Photobucket.

I really like Uchida Yoshimi's artwork but information about her seems to be scarce as far as I'm aware. I downloaded the RAWs for "Hoshi no Tokei no Liddell" realising that it's currently being translated into English, but only one chapter is translated so far.

Almost make me want to start reading "7 Seeds", and damn that "Hoshi no Tokei no Liddell" look soo intriguing. That's those feelings I love getting with this club ^^ .

Going to Japan has been something I have wanted to do for a long time now but I don't want to go there until I have a somewhat basic understanding of Japanese. To read/watch/play untranslated manga, movies, anime, etc.. would be amazing due to the sheer amount that simply doesn't get a translation.

As for the manga, that must have been amazing to see. I always knew that there was a ridiculous amount of unknown manga but actually getting to view it in person must have been awesome. I don't know how you stopped yourself from buying any manga even if you couldn't read it.
