I also love that list. I have been reading shoujo's for almost 10 years. I still love shoujo better than shounen. Although there are a few shounen that are really good . I would like to include Card Captor Sakura to the list of magical girl manga. It's one of the better ones

Love this list, and I absolutely agree with the popular titles that shouldn't be included as quality shoujo.

I've loved shoujo manga for such a long time, it has just been so difficult to find good quality shoujo, but whenever I do, it's worth it.

List Recommendations:
- Annarasumanara : This is a manhwa. It is absolutely amazing, reminiscent of Paradise Kiss.
-C-Blosom: Case 729: An shoujo action title. Very rare mix of genres, but it is very well done.
-Coelacanth: Psychological Shoujo
-Hana No Namae: This is one of my all time favourite titles. It's a very delicate story, but it features the running metaphor of a garden that is just beginning to bloom.
- Red River: Just an amazing fantasy epic. It is up there with Kanata Kare IMO.

I have to agree with the popular consensus that Akagami no Shirayuki Hime doesn't really belong with the other titles, especially given the harsh criteria with which these have been chosen from.

I personally thought Immortall Rain was really good and should be considered a quality manga. Bokura ga Ita as well. It is heartwrentching and very realistic, one of the slice-of-life shoujo I've read. I would also recommend Orange. There's not many chapters out yet, but it certainly is also touching.

Bokura ga ita.. That seriously shouldn't be missed. <3 just by skimming the paes, my chest begins to tighen, srsly.

I approve of the list, though I personally think Akagami no Shirayuki Hime isn't really induction-worthy.
It's a good read if you like lighthearted shoujo, fantasy and romance but it's also kind of cliche and partly predictable..
Not bad, just not "good enough" in my opinion :)

May I suggest Marmalade Boy (1992) for quality Slice of Life titles?
It's classic, classic shojo and is a more normalized version of Kodocha. In fact, Kodocha has been reviewed as "Marmalade Boy on crack".

I also recommend Beauty Pop for the list - it's original, has relatable characters and good pacing, although some may interpret BP's overall message as "getting a superficial makeover is the solution to improving one's life".

I suggest beauty pop for the list, though it might not be up to the standards of some of the other manga you listed. Overall a good list, I've been looking for quality shoujo to read and seeing some of my favorites up he gives me hope ^^

Great club idea :D I think it should be expanded a bit more and should include more shoujo manga like Skip Beat.
