What you said XiaXueYi has alot of truth to it, definitely the older series had so much more to them compared to the newer ones.

Sadly lots of people just go for the new stuff because of looks, when personally to me I prefer the look, sound, plot of the 90s anime especially when it comes to Sailor Moon. I never liked Moon Pride, it was too messy and noisy and fast paced. Felt emotionless. And hey nothing wrong with getting emotional over music when its great stuff.

I've cried at some anime music as well and for some reason its usually with songs alot of people ignore for some odd reason. Heck I even cry at hearing this opening music to one of my childhood movies for memories and overall nice sounding song so you're not alone at that. There's something about older anime and even older movies and such that their music even instrumental ones was alot of times amazing compared to most of what today is made. I guess they dont care as much nowadays :(

Moon Pride etc also really doesnt tug at your heart strings like aaaalll the oldies. Watashi-tachi ni naritakute and Tuxedo Mirage almost makes me...swoon even though I'm a guy.

For some reason I have not resumed watching Sailor Stars. Maybe I should get to it (but so many things to watch rip)

Told myself I wouldn't start watching the new series until I finish the old stuff. But I feel the older anime is more emotionally impactful
