These two share an insane ressemblence in their structure. Both female leads are innocent and don't know much or anything about love, and learn about it with the help of the outgoing, sociable male lead, and in the second seasons for both of these series, the seriousness of the feelings from the male lead is shown, with arcs that put them in stressful situations that make their characters feel genuinely real.

This is more of a "feeling the vibe" recommendation. However, some legit points to cover over is that the two seasons are the last from what is known of this time, serving as a finale in the leading everyone has been waiting for. Both are really really good at being the best in their respective demographic, just getting on the mark every time with no problems.

Similar plot progression. At some point you as the viewer lose hope, but all of the sudden it all comes to fruition. And makes any strife you've endured watching it worth it.

In both animes the main characters are scary. However, under neath their scary exterior they both have kind hearts. They both have people around them to support them in making friends or changing theirselves. The girls both fall in love with someone who is the complete opposite of them, attractive and outgoing. Sawako, however wants to make friends and change herself where as Nadeshiko does not.

The first season scored a 10 and season 2 is also on the same lines...10 again! What a fabulous way of creating realistic affection and emotion in Anime, this is genius. I'll recommend this anime series to anyone whose in love with "love" itself or one who loves his friends and family or has fallen in love... even if it was for just a few precious moments... "Itazura na Kiss" is also about developments of love between two people of completely different personalities. Sawako and Kotoko share similar traits (Sawako is naive and timid while Kotoko is naive and stupid) but both ladies face  read more
