Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo

Completely different story, but I made this recommendation just because of the elements magic/mahou and the ridiculous theme at first sight, but somehow you watch them. I have to say that Okusama Wa Mahou Shoujo is mahou shoujo oriented as the name says it and Witch Craft Works is about witches and has more development, at least. 

Main characters of these series are both magic users who will lose their powers in the future. Maria, from Junketsu no Maria, will lose her powers once she loses her virginity. Ureshiko, from Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo, will lose her powers once she kisses a man. Both are mostly comedies with a bit of romance, but Junketsu no Maria also has few darker tones. 

Main characters of these series are both magic users who will lose their powers in the future. Amu, from Shugo Chara, will lose her powers once she grows up. Ureshiko, from Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo, will lose her powers once she kisses a man. Both are mostly comedies with a bit of romance... 

Both of these series include "magical girls". In UFO Princess Valkyrie 2 you have Valkyrie and the other princesses of the planet Valhalla who use their powers to help their friends, help Valkyrie's fiancee Kazuto and ultimately to save the planet Valhalla. In Okusama wa Mahou Shoujop You have Agnes, a magical girl who is guardian of the town, and Cruje who is sent to succeed Agnes as the guardian. There is a "slight" complication. Cruje has orders to destroy the town and its inhabitants while Agnes wishes to protect the town and inhabitants, which include her husband and a tenant in her home whom she may have some feelings for. Agnes also can't kiss, if she does she loses all her powers, but Valkyrie accesses her powers by kissing her fiancee. Both of these series include some generous fan service, action and romance. read more 

Both are similar in respect to each other regarding the future of the world that they are in. These animes are both about the recreation of the existing world, and also the struggles that the main characters have to go through to decide the fate of the world. However "This Ugly Yet Beautiful World" has a more serious tone to the story, while "Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo" is a more light-hearted story. You might like one if you like the other.  

Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo focuses on the balance of the town where the story has its setting. Ah my goddes focuses on the happiness of Keiichi (the protagonist). However, both anime have simmilar, if not exactly like, protagonists in them. These two anime also share a equal form of passion and feelings between the characters and their surroundings.
