Both have short episodes, are extremely funny, episodic, and are a spin-off of a more serious series.

Same kind of thing, short funny episodes based around the characters from the parent show.

Created at the same time, has the same art style and to an extent the same humor. Made by the same studio, same characters, etc. There's no reason not to watch this if you like Churuya-san

Both are cute and short.

Similar fast-paced absurdist humour with a simple art style.

DiGi Charat and Nyoron Churuya-san feature a similar certain type of humor combining SD moe-ness with random and silly situations. The protagonists Dejiko and Churuya are both green haired chibi girls trying to cope with the often harsh environment they live in. While it is Churuya's only wish to obtain more of her beloved smoked cheese, Dejiko works hard in a computer store in Akihabara to become a famous actress. Both girls talk in a specific manner relating to cat-like sounds, as Dejiko ends every sentence with the syllable "-nyo" and Churuya expresses various emotions by simply saying "nyoron".

The style of art in them are not what you would call the average anime art, and the episodes are short too. There is actually no plot in either, apart from the last episode as a sort of rounding off. They are very random time wasters for the purpose of making you laugh. Fun if you have nothing else to do for the last 5 minutes on the web.

Nyoro-n Churuya-san and Damekko Doubutsu are both short and very funny. If you like random humour and chibi style of characters, you definitely should watch Damekko Doubutsu.
