Mushoku Tensei II: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Part 2

To be honest, the previous season was kinda cringe and not needed. That whole 12 episodes were spent on our dear Rudy having an erectile dysfunction and lamenting about it. That season was unnecessary but at the end, he did propose his love to Sylphy and that was wholesome.
This season is off to a decent start and I am liking it so far. I am just happy to see Rudeus living a peaceful life with Sylphy after having a traumatizing human life. You see I do relate myself to Rudy. Suffering in real life and then wanting to live a peaceful life in a ... reincarnated world. like who wouldn't want that? Well I do have high expectations from this season. Hoping it do lives upto that expectation.

If the whole of Mushoku Tensei season 2 should be described with one word, it'd be uneventful.

The pace has definitely changed. Checking back, the second half of S1 contained the entire demon continent arc. Currently 17 episodes into season 2, there isn't much to even note.

There is no tension, the MC either has dropped or simply doesn't bother to pursue any of his previous goals. Adventuring has been nonexistent. There are very few unique locations or interesting events as the story is restricted to one peaceful city.

What adds to the slice of life feeling is just how convenient it has been for MC at ... the school. He's surrounded by familiar faces and has some kind of prior connection to every single character there (other than a slave he bought).

For the sake of the plot, it should be high time for MC to stop playing house and go save his mom already.

While you can definitely enjoy this, I don't think it's what most of us wanted from the series.
It feels very strongly like a high quality OVA and not a serious continuation of the story.

From the start of the season it's just completely cringe and out of character?!
Only bleach can save the poor eyes of the viewers from this season, unless they lack any common sense.

Why in the hell did they think it was such a good idea to break the characters?
No idea but definitely NOT recommending this to anyone, the characters are completely out of their minds and act completely different than the seasons before!

It's not even funny, it's just FILLED with cringe like never witnessed before.

To be fair the last season already started heading downhill but this butchers it utterly.
Dropping this and the entire anime now, this ... goes straight into the bin.
