Yuzuki-san Chi no Yonkyoudai.

- A central plot device in both are the death of parents and how the kid(s) navigate life afterwards - Heavy emphasis on neighbors becoming chosen family - Both show how the kids grow and how their relationships develop - Chill SOL but with moments that may make you cry 

Two slice of life's with children who've lost their parents, both series containing a very young boy who is insanely more mature and adult-like than he really should be. 

Main characters in both these stories are children who have experienced sudden parental death and now have to go through life living without parents, however, their communities assist and guide them throughout their journey. These series also dive into the psychological trauma children such as may experience. Regardless, these stories give a similar feeling of hope for those who undergo the same circumstances; as well as, are helpful to further understanding to those who do not know how to go around common situations such as this.  

Sol, Wholesome Story About kids that lost their parents and have to survive with adult and neighbors who guide them to get through rough life. 

Two shoujo slice of life's with an older brother taking care of his younger siblings after their parents pass away. Throughout the series, they overcome the grief in losing their parents in a few instances but mainly have wholesome moments together as family getting on with their new lifestyles. Main difference would be that Hayato in Yuzuki-san Chi is a 23/24yo teacher looking after his 3 younger brothers meanwhile Kashima in Gakuen Babysitters is a freshman highschool student looking after his younger brother. 

These two anime series center on brothers who have lost both of their parents. Both of these anime kept me around because of the brothers' close bond and intense affection for one another. 

-Both main characters are similar in age -both deal with brothers who support each other after loss of parent/parents -has heartfelt and real moments of what its like to have a sibling
