Both series has a strong female lead and capable male lead that although the male lead lack in strength, they make up their lack of strength with intellect and charisma. The two does share a lot of similarities. If you like one, you are definitely bound to like the other.

Both have similar story and characters. they main characters want to stop the war between two sides. The feeling you egt from Valkyria Chronicles is similar to Allison and Lillia. Both very good anime (well Valkyria is good so far)

Both anime are set in fictional world with WWI technology and shows adventures of military unit.

When i think about these 2 animes at first a fantasy world comes to my mind :) Story always going fast at both of them. And all of our main chars bad at confession as well :)

Valkyria Chronicles also seems like a war and love story and comedy all rolled into one like Toshokan Sensou. These shows have a similar military and comedy feeling. And Inoue Marina is the voice actress of both main protagonists, Kasahara Iku and Melchiott Alicia. Both of them are kinda tsundere and tomboyish, although Alicia looks little bit more feminine. Even other characters of these shows may have common attributes.

To mine eyes, Izetta is a love child of the game Valkyria Chronicles and Virgin Witch Maria. Valk Chron's alternate history World War 2 setting paired with a near extinct supernatural race/power and Maria's attempting to prevent/end a war as a witch with magic. I strongly recommend everyone go play Valk Chron (unless you can handle the cheap art style + love triangle added to the anime!) and more people give Izetta a chance; overlooking the light yuri/boobing in the middle. That is all.

Taking place in a time of warfare, both series focuses on its characters and their experiences as soldiers/pilots during such a crisis. The main male protagonist is both determined, strong willed, and has combat experience. Despite the odd relationship he has with some of the others, he proves himself to be a capable soldier during critical times of need. There is an adventurous style the way both series are presented with secrets, revelations, and a past that unfolds itself throughout their stories. Expect stellar action, drama, and also bits of romance.

Technologically the worlds are similar to our history in the begining of 20th century, a lot of action is around military people, however in FMA the military use alcchemy instead of guns to fight ...

Both are alternate realities with a European WWI or WWII kind of feel mixed in with a little super technology. Valkyria Chronicles is a bit more conventional in its relationships whereas Sora no Woto hints at Shoujo-ai (girl/girl love) but never really goes there. Both are beautifully animated.

Extremely dense male lead and a strong female lead who tries to convey their feeling to their respective male leads...o yea both have to do with fighting as well

There is a romance in both anime and pretty similar Alicia-Welkin and Eureka-Renton. The girls on both series are special. However the male lead is normal. Both male lead's father is a hero. Gekkoustate and Squad 7 also pretty same, warm and sometimes crazy. Both main lead's lost something dear to them too. Oh and the ending is pretty same, I mean the last episode is really really alike. and how VC and E7 end also have a similar scene. Hold hand and etc. Go watch for yourself, if you're a fan of E7 you definitely will loved this series also.

Similar Slice-of-Life/War story with a girl who suddenly becomes OP towards the end of the show.

Both share a ya cast as well as both being from notable jrpg series from the 2000s and also share stylish visuals and action as well too and also both stories focus on completing objectives as well too for survival.
report Recommended by Disapeared_Ghost
Both are heavily focused on military action and war Gallian chronicles follows more of a platoon throughout an entire war while Macross focuses more on a band of surviving humans. Both are great, the music and themes are unparalleled and the action and story telling is unique.

Both anime are military, you get addicted to watch them after the first episodes, strategy, action, 100% enjoy with funny parts but both anime also have a bit of sadness and the graphics and colours are very good

I know, one is absolutely space sci-fi and the other is a military ww2 drama, but the basic premise of both comes to be about group of people developing their relationships while overcoming the hardships of war and bias along the way.

the world is on war too but its an isekai

Though a bit different for Girls und Panzer is a bit lighter, sweet and features younger characters while Senjou no Valkyria, or Valkyria Chronicles in English, is more serious and features older characters, both shows can give you the action and enjoyment that you're looking for with some drama included.

Both stories have a lot of characters. Senjou no Valkyria is more of a military story, but it does contain a lot of romance and action. Sailor Moon is more magical.

War between two countries. Main characters are part of military squads. Their squads accomplished many impossible missions and and earned great reputation. Also both squads have very powerful secret weapon (robot in Shirogane no Ishi: Argevollen and tank in Senjou no Valkyria: Gallian Chronicles). However time is different. Shirogane no Ishi: Argevollen is in future (not so far from nowadays, their just have primitive robots) and Senjou no Valkyria: Gallian Chronicles is in past, about WW I.

Love Military? Love war? Love alternate history? Then, if you've watched either of these anime's, then i'm sure that you're gonna love the other one. Valkyria Chronicles focuses on the alternate world aspect, with tanks etc. and contains some Romance, whereas Zipang focuses on what would happen if you were sent back in time, and had the chance to change history and turn the favor of a war.

Where as Valkyria Chronicles is more serious and Gate more on the humorous side. The characters are likeable. Great military animes. Gate is still airing but I expect it to satisfy my love for the military just as Valkyria Chronicles did

The story, technology, and races are extremely similar here. If you like Senjou no Valkyria then you will definitely like Last Exile. Other than the love story everything is really similar but with more of an emphasis on planes and flying aircraft in Last Exile where Senjou no Valkyria's world relies on tanks and the like.

Both have a good story to tell of things that must be overcome to continue in life.

Both take place during a super serious war, Senjou no Valkyria (Valkyria Chronicles) is anime WW2 and 86 is.... a war. Both feature the more extreme topics of war, such as racism and racial supremecy. Both titles feature drama, VC has one of the most tragic deaths of all anime war characters, and 86 has drama surrounding the anime Nazis and anime Jews working together.

While the settings and stories are completely different, both of them are thoughtful looks at racism and discrimination--and the ways in which love, kindness, and friendship can overcome them.

Both feature kick ass females as main characters (altough in 11eyes the protagonist IS a male). Both feature strong love stories set during a period of conflic and how those stories intertwine with one another. Valkyria Chronicles is less dark than 11eyes set during a wartime period where the two main chars have to protect their country and deal with each other at the same time. 11eyes is more dark (rated 17+) with some explicit sexual scenes and ecchi, however the similiarity between these animes is evident once you watch them (most of all when it comes to the characters, and their views of the  read more

Both animes are about a war between Galia and a sort of Roman empire. Both deal with a lot of ancient myths and legends. Both of the main girls are the key to end the war.

Valkyria Chronicles and Arslan Senki are historical fantasy series where the main character and his comrades try to liberate their homeland from an invading country. Valkyria Chronicles has a stronger focus on military battles, but still has an element of politics. Arslan Senki has a stronger focus on on politics, but builds up toward military battles because the narrative follows the hero's journey. The different settings mean the type of battles are not the same, but the enjoyment is just as good.

Valkyria Chronicles and Kingdom are historical military series that emphasizes tactics and strategies. This is an aspect of military anime that is often unexplained or simplified. Both series goes to great length to demonstrate the importance of tactic and strategy. That being said, the series also has an engaging plotline using politics and character motivation. Kingdom has a better cast of characters, but it will take time to accept the CGI animation.

Aside from the time differences, setting differences, and a major technology gap between the two series...this two anime series are quite similar in that both are fighting an oppressive empire, both main characters can be hard to predict, both main character have that "female bodyguard", and both series are top notch above anything else :)

This anime is what LoGH would be if it was fought on land with the addition of superhumans. Exception being that Maximilian here is an idiototic megalomania, while Reinhard kept his cool most of the time. As for the other side (Gallia/Welkin), is mostly similar to the Alliance in LoGH. In short, LoGH is a much longer and more serious version of the short and less serious Valkyria Chronicles.

The main chracters are girls , both of them are in love between two guys and they have a power that they dont aware of it .

Both girls from these anime are fighting to protect people in their towns. Their headbands kinda look similar too lol. Anyways, both are great anime.

Anime based on rpg videogames where there are magic knights and divine powers in a military settings. The protagonists are girls that want to have revenge after their land was destroyed.

Senjou no Valkyria is similar to Rurouni Kenshin because they both feature strong main characters with interesting abilities and skills. While Rurouni Kenshin is historically based, Senjou no Valkyria takes a twist on history. It is different from the Rurouni Kenshin anime because the romance is very satisfying in the end.

First and foremost both are set on fictional worlds: KG is sci-fi set on the future and VC is set on fictional 1930's europe (actually called "Europa") in a WWI-like era. Both feature awesome female main characters that fight for what is dearest to them against many foes. Both also feature strong relationshsips between the characters and have a feel of fellowship and union. Both feature kick ass heroines with superpowers. They may feel like the show is all about action and such, but the more you watch, the clear it becomes that the shows actually deal with some mature themes.

Both anime have the similar feeling to it. Both stories are somehow connected to army. There is romance. Main heroine is somehow different from the others and has a tragic past.

Series are quiet different, for one they are based in different eras and Berserk is more bloody. However, if you look over this you can find a similarity. Both shows are about war and a specific group of people that is getting engaged in battles. Both series have wave war action and strategic planning, constantly tryong to come up with effective tactic. If you like shows about war where strategies and planning are constatnly made, bothe shows will work perfectly.

Like the Valkyria Chronicles, Escaflowne is at its core a romance story set against a war. Whereas VC has a circa-WWI / WWII era feel to it with a number of fantasy elements thrown in, Escaflowne is an urban fantasy that has a much more traditional high fantasy feel (knights, "dragons", the main character could be said to be doing something resembling magic). Between the two, I would say Escaflowne has a much more sweeping, epic story. Although the animation might be a little dated by today's standards, the story really makes this series. Also, if you enjoy a good movie  read more

Both anime features a war story with a whole bunch of characters and some sci-fi elements. The guys in Senjou no Valkyria are very attractive sort of like in Gundam Wing. One difference is that Senjou no Valkyria has more concrete romance in it.
