Magic here is the secret word, well atleast for the girls here while slayers is soo damn funny with a very good storyline, rayearth is more a serious plotline and summons magic beasts, both serie´s than can be enjoyed if u like this kind of genre from the old days

oldskool fantasy based anime´s with some simmilair style in the animation for its time.Slayers has like 5 main members in the cast , Fam& Ihrlie as a duo could easy have been sort of ´missing slayer members´ if your talking by personality ofc , it would be great to put them in a crossover!

Both have a cast of goofy wacky characters, and a female lead who the show lampoons a bit for not being the typical 'sexy' anime girl. as some of the base comparisons. Honestly, I feel Soul Eater matches Slayers tone well, with it being very humourous and wacky, but also shifting gears and going for a more serious kind of mood. I think a lot of similar character tropes end up appearing in both shows, you got the spunky main girl, a bombastic loud character who shouts from the highest point, the more serious cool character who laments their appearance (though Soul Eater does this more  read more

Slayers is the prequel to Slayers Next, but Next is probably my favourite anime with Slayers being one of my favourite series in general.

Aside from having humorous and adventurous women, both are sequels to their original anime; depicting a slightly darker tone and making improvements to their action scenes.

If you like anime about magic that doesn't take the whole thing all too seriously, then Mahou Tsukai Tai and Slayers NEXT are both good places to start. They are both comedy-based anime with the same sort of childish, amusing humour. Both are about magic too! The character types in the two series are definitely very different, but have the same sort of lovable character traits that will inevitably make for good comic material. I found the art style to be pretty similar as well.

both have comedy (slapstick), action though one's mecha & other's like explosions/magic, main leads are like similar in some way. both are serious & light.

both have the traveling in like a meidival-ish setting, fighting, lots of charactesr, comedy, story, "cool" factor...

Lina Inverse and Vash the Stampede are both notorious for leaving a path of destruction in their wake as a result of fights. Though in Vash's case it's more of an unintended collateral damage thing that results even when he's pacifistic in his attempts, whereas Lina just goes all out in some of her fights. Add in the delightful fights and humor and ensemble casts and you got a lot to enjoy. Slayers Next is the second season of Slayers, but you don't need to have seen the first season in order to enjoy the second. It'll just make more sense if you watch S1  read more

LU and Slayers are set in the same Metaverse, being on worlds parallel to each other. LU's Universe crosses over into Slayers in TRY. Made by the same creator, and holds much of the same style of humor as Slayers does, except in a Sci-Fi setting instead of Fantasy
