Hero helping the Demon Queen
report Recommended by Viewland
Both involve a hero that has changed affiliation to the demon side to wage war against Humanity. The demon lord opposes the hero in both categories. But eventually sees them as an aid to the demon army

Both shows are about a hero that got betrayed by the nation they were supposed to defend right from the 1st episode.

Similarities - Both have characters leave/quit the Hero's Party/Duty - Both characters were forced out against their choice - Both is about their life after Heroing, and about doing what they wanted to do instead - Both is about the Hero's duty to the people they serve versus no longer wanting/able to do so - Both is about relationships with other characters - Both have periods of slice of life/light comedy, and more serious moments Differences - Banished by the Hero's party is mainly slice of life light romance with some serious stuff tacked on. I'm Quitting Heroing is mainly comedy and some serious themes woven together well, and helping/teaching other characters while  read more

Both shows feature a conflict between a demon army and humans, and main character switches sides at the start of the story.

Some plot points are extremely similar (which I will not spoil here, as they take place further on into the plots of both shows). I'll only say that both animes eventually center on heroes, how societies create such distinctions, and how heroes can be made villains from one moment to the next, depending on whose purposes they serve, and if they are politically palatable to those with the most power.

Both series are fantasy anime's with major differences. They both are epic.

• Both main characters are extremely overpowered. • They both have dark pasts and also have many other things in common. • Both series might feel lighthearted at the beginning, but new secrets get revealed as the show goes on. From what I’ve watched so far both have similar themes and are relatable in many aspects .

Both animes are kind of about the main character quitting thier job and both the fight scenes and comedy is a masterpiece

In both anime main character is overpowered hero and stop their hero career but still do something similar as what they did. In yuusha yamemasu, mc quit heroing and join demon army, in eiyuu Kyoushitsu mc joins hero school. They both have fights but also slice of life moments.

Listen, I know this sounds crazy. They seem like they have nothing in common. But in both anime, an old man from foregone war-torn era meets good folk and leverages their wit and wisdom to help the people they meet resolve their flaws and reach their goals, while they reflect on and move on from their own past.

What happens when you get so OP that there's no more mainquesting to do? You help others get good...or you lounge around and collect a harem. These are both that kind of situation. OP MCs have already completed their "quest line" in the original life, and now spend the extra time they have left over helping others. It's an easy watch, with tsunderes and red eyed MCs. It's definitely a bit bland as far as plot goes, but is made up with light and comedic moments. Good art style as well. Easy watch, but respectively an easy drop if that's not your cup of tea.

They're very theatrical. The conflict between people, which is the main bit of plot here, is always more important than action on the screen. These two are the same in having actually physical action on the screen get less focus. It's there, it looks good and all, but most of the time all of the music, voice acting and such really points you to the chararacters' conflict of motivations and their agendas. In the case of Yuusha Yamemasu it's only really near the end, but ya boi Rokka is like that from the start.

These bad bois are similar in how theatrical they get. In the most important moments, grand and momentous bits of dialogue are thrown in liberally like artillery salvos, and the main focus in the scene and action in the scene is dialogue. They give less focus to action, though it's pretty nice in both, and instead let the conflict between characters' ideas be the action directly.

Managing a baseball team vs managing the demon lord's army. Both make use of basic managerial principles and concepts and go through what makes a good leader.

It's the other way around. Demon lord works in human world vs Hero works in demon world.

Both anime have the protagonists who are on the opposite sides of the spectrum. They both have a female and a male who are in opposite side of a war that been going on for decades, they are also working with each other to try and unite there homeland to make there respectful place peaceful without wars among each other.

MC is sent by his organisation to investigate and prepare a world for being conquered, feels betrayed by said organisation, and ends up joining the forces of another kingdom as a knight, helping to rebuild their strength and combat the demon lord forces.
report Recommended by mrfried
Both series take place in fantasy settings where the MC applies modern real-world ideas to manage people and work to achieve goals

Pretty much the same show. Typical everyman main character actually possesses god-like powers that manifest themselves whenever the plot requires, effectively removing any stakes or conflict from the story. Generic one-note characters including a girl, who likes the MC for some reason. If you liked one, the other is more of the same, so you'll like that too.
