If Jujutsu Kaisen was to be a Slice of Life show about high school girls, it would be Mieruko-chan. The shows vibe really close with those Japanese monsters. Only Jujutsu Kaisen is a Naruto-like universe where the characters have all sorts of powers, and in Mieruko-chan it's about a high school girl who can just see them and tries to deal with them without them causing havoc in her and her loved ones' lives.

Girls who suffered a given accident and gained the ability to see ghost and evil spirits go on about their new lives.

Both anime deal with yokai (ghosts) and their protagonists who can see them while the rest of the world can't. Both protagonists try to avoid the evil yokai, although Natsume talks to them while Miko is scared to talk to them. Mieruko-chan has a LOT of fanservice as well but Natsume doesn't. Also, both protagonists are students and some events take place at school.

Pupipo! starts like the synopsis of Mieruko-Chan of a girl being able to watch spirits (bad and good ones, it works kind of differently on Pupipo!) that others can't see and act accordingly to don't get anyone in danger, essentially having a very similar comedy scenario. Pupipo! differs by being shorter in episode length and concluding in a very different way from what it started as, delving into more fantastical elements.

both animes are about the main character are able to see ghosts. They are gifted in the 6th sense. For Mob, he is able to exorcist demons, and for Meiruko, so far nothing can protect her because her spiritual powers is way too strong. I enjoy both of them because after every episode, its very wholesome and heartwarming.

Both shows have a female main character who can see ghosts and spirits. While Miko from Mieruko-chan can see from only the beginning of the series, Sakura Mamiya can see them since she was a child. This makes both protagonists unique from each other. Even though both series are technically comedies, their tones can vary a lot. Mieruko-chan takes its horror aspects more seriously. But Rinne doesn't have much horror at all. It mainly relies on physical comedy and oddball characters that you won't see in other shows that often. However, Rinne does focus a lot on purifying spirits with the male lead Rinne Rokudo,  read more

Somehow it's same vibe, both shows feels similarly. In both there are two parallel worlds, the real one and mysterious/spectacular which waits for deep explore and study and doesn't show everything inside of it in one shot. Also in both there is strong warmness of protagonist's kindness.

Combining elements of horror and comedy, with a good amount of fanservice. Sankerea uses these around it's romance, while Mieruko-chan focuses on Miko, its female main character, and her friends. Both have slower paced plots, with Sankerea a bit quicker, and give a fair amount of depth to the central characters. Both have a school setting and also feature cats a lot

Both Mieruko-chan and Shinreigari merge into the concepts of the modern human world and spiritual world colliding. Although in Shinreigari there is no fanservice and it doesn't focus on the high school city life but it still gives you a similar feeling of adrenaline, despite the plot if Shinreigari taking place in a small town. A small warning though, they are from different decades and Shinreigari focuses more on the internal demons aspect and less on the supernatural horror of living amongst spirits. I believe both Anime will give you a similar feeling of a racing heart.

About the female MC who is suddenly pulled into the supernatural world related to the real world, both of them have many types of ghosts, but in Mieruko-Chan there is almost no explanation about something, while in Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun is quite explained, both also focus on comedy although Mieruko-chan should be more horror.

The characters are endearing to both anime. In addition, the suspense is at its height, there is a lot of paranormal stuff going on, and these evil beings, weird creatures that are supposed to be invisible become visible. A lot of passage is creepy. And the two animated ones are quite dismal on a lot of points. The openings are also very interesting, they are very well done, which allows you to get straight into the anime from the start of each episode.

Mysterious animes that these two should have been isn’t it? I really consider Hyouka being like Mieruko Chan in terms of the atmosphere and the background. They do feel soothing but disturbing at times when something mysterious appeared on them. They happen to be the anime shows that sometimes give a bit of misunderstanding and hard time to figure the problem out.

Both main characters can see creatures that not a lot of people can see, both anime have interesting creatures with amazing stories behind them.

misunderstandings serve as the most major source of comedy

Similarities - Both MCs hallucinate strange phenomenons/monsters - Both MCs have an energetic friend Differences - Urasekai Picnic is a GL/yuri anime VS Mieruko chan is CGDCT non romantic - Urasekai Picnic is an isekai VS Mieruko chan isn't

Just pure classic movie about ghosts. you will love this movie. If you watched Mononoke already Mieruko will be more relaxing even though it is more creepy.

Another is not about ghosts directly, but the vibe Lets imagine if u cut from mieruko-chan fun part and let story just flow around

Come on why nobody reccomended Noragami to Mieruko fans? maybe noragami less scary but it follows theme of ghosts and spirits and learning how to deal with them. Mieruko has more mistery behind but i liked both.

Cute girls doing cute things in a world full of zombies/ghosts. In both cases the protagonists are often on the verge of breaking down, even though gakkougurashi is more serious about that, while mieruko-chan turns it into a joke.

A blend of horror and comedy in a school setting and with some fanservice. The jokes often arise from the situations in which the protagonists can see the ghosts while other people do not see them.

About a girl that can see ghosts. Has some creepy Demon designs similar to JJK. Completely different slice of life story with horror elements. I would recommend this if the viewer wishes to see some creepy Demon designs and funny interactions with them.

Mieruko and Ghost Hunt has some kind of similarity with both horror and comedy. Both explores ghosts. Unlike Mieruko, Ghost Hunt is more of a research kind of ghost hunting while Mieruko is about Power. Although both Anime shares dispelling ghosts.

The main character who can see and communicate with the supernatural beings of the afterlife and an orange-haired girl with extremely large bosoms and a never ending appetite.
