The curses and the devils have a lot of parallels and we follow a group of characters who hunt/kill them. The MC is a hybrid as in a half Devil / Human in 'Chainsaw Man' or a half Curse / Human in 'Jujutsu Kaisen' Also without going into spoilers the "Big Bad" or the "Huge Goal" is very simmilar where in, 'Chainsaw Man' the team need "parts" that ultimately lead them to the "Big Bad". Where in Jujutsu Kaisen the team needs to collect the "Parts" which will stop the "Big Bad" from awakening. "Chainsaw Man" and "Jujutsu Kaisen" both revolve around protagonists immersed in the world of supernatural creatures and battling them using unique powers. They feature intense action scenes, complex character development, and explore themes of identity, morality, and the human condition amidst chaotic supernatural environments. 

both main characters are flexible to circumstances they got themselves into , similar powers ,lot of gore and death and deadpan humor 

Both shows are very similar to each other: both are base on demons and have a similar power system, both have an enjoyable protagonist and similar cast and both have gory fights and lots of action. 

Curses and devils, both the fresh faces of the shonen, critically acclaimed mangas and anime adaptations made with love for the show, If you tried and liked one, you'll enjoy the other for sure! 

Chainsaw Man is like a completely off-the-rails version of JJK. Lot's of similarities between the series' characters and universe rules.  

If you enjoyed Chainsaw Man, chances are you'll also enjoy Jujutsu Kaisen, as both anime have high-quality and similar animation styles, thanks to being produced by the same studio (MAPPA). Additionally, both series depict a contemporary world where monsters or demons conspire against society, with the protagonist and their friends joining an organization to combat these creatures. The similarities are so striking that in the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen, there is a monster with the same power as an enemy from the first season of Chainsaw Man, momentarily making me question if they hadn't defeated that monster already. However, I quickly realized they were different anime, though the similar animation style adds to the confusion.  read more 

Both shows have very similar theme, action shounen about fighting demons/devils with demon/devil powers. Also, both shows are done by the same studio. If you enjoy one of these, you'll definitely enjoy the other one! 

Both are egdy battle shounen series about killing monsters using the same kind of monster powers as them 

Both series are similar in a way, and will be even more alike as the series continue. For instance, with trying to be spoiler-free, - The protagonists get "partially" possessed by the antagonist party's remains (In Jujutsu's case, Sukuna's fingers, and in Chainsaw Man's, Pochita.) - Both protagonists can then "partially" use the power of what possessed them. - Both protagonists fight enemy with the enemy's power. - Protagonist's parties consist of three members. - Finally, Both series' main plots revolve around the antagonist trying to take control over the protagonist. - Oh also, both are shounen series, done by Mappa studios. As the story progresses, you guys will eventually see the similarities as there will be more to spot out. Although it's not vague, they will slowly become somewhat identical. At least to when both series hit SS2. Don't let this stop you from trying both though. Just give them a try, I'm sure you'll binge them. read more 

Similarities: The same plot where it involve guy making a pact with a devil in order to fight other devils. The same setting where the guy gets drafted in an organization that fights demons. The same amount of blood and gore. Dissimilarities: One made the pact in order to save his friends from impending doom, while the other it was the devil to made him a pact in order to save the guy. One lacks certain romance while the other has some.

main trinity and their dynamic with each other is nearly similar, and both series have uniquely charismatic and powerful mentor characters. Also, both series have dark comedy elements, and the storyline is surprising. Some character motivations and designs are similar too, and both series are one of my favorites because they have great and characteristic materials and great fight sequences, so these specialties give them both an original and brave tone. 

When I watched the first episode of Chainsaw Man I immediately thought of Jujutsu Kaisen. Jujutsu Kaisen has the main characters fight curses while Chainsaw Man's main characters fight devils. 

Teenage shounen Good Boy eats stuff he shouldn't and accidentally gets a Monster inside of him. Now he must fight for the Monster Hunters lest they kill him. 

In the beginning you can perceive that both have similar concepts and feeling. 

New-wave action shounen anime centred around a society of soldiers who specialize in combatting a certain supernatural threat that plagues modern-day Japan. The fights take place in an urban environment and are exceptionally choreographed, which is a big appeal to the shows. 

Both have amazing fight scenes and awesome yet fun casts directed by the same studio, with the same enemies and devils.  

both chainsaw man and jujutsu kaisen are perfect examples of 'generic in its genre but great execution'. on top of this they also have similar characters, animation quality and openings. It feels like they both followed the same formula. 

Very similar, but Chainsawman is more adult and dystopian, I think. - Both are about t three teenagers (one girl, an extroverted boy full of energy, and an introverted boy with black hair who doesn't talk so much) killing monsters for an organization. - In both, the MC must help this organization or die. Both have a dark vibe If you don't like MC with frivolous goals, maybe you shouldn't take a look at Chainsawman! But, if you are curious about what is going to happen, I should take a look ^^ 

Same studio, both are action packed and both are masterpieces

Action shounen, devils and demons, similar power system and lots of comedy, and both take place in very urban settings with lots of well-made fight scenes 

Both are filled with comedy and action. In both animes, there are supernatural abilities in which each characters are unique. Amazing action scenes with memorable moments. 

It's made by the same studio, both have amazing openings and in general great animations. The fight scenes in both anime are great and both have quite some gore. They also both share the fact there are monsters the characters have to defeat to reach a main goal. Overall both great anime

These are two very popular animes right now, but if you haven't heard of one or the other or both, these two are basically about fighting demon-like creatures. Both involve the main characters being sort of "half-demons" 

These two shows are super similar, and I mean that they are almost identical in some aspects. Both are made by the same studio, and have the same feel. I can't say too much without spoiling, but if you liked one, then you will like the other. 

both of them are action genre and the at animating of these scences both of them are masterpieces but I think chainsaw is a little better in the other hand jujutsu is concentrate on magic more than physical wars so if like actions i think chainsaw is better 

Both these anime have the one motive of fighting the cursed spirits(jjk) and the devils(csm) overall you'll enjoy both these shows and chainsaw man is going to be one heck of a ride the plot seems simple but there's so much more to the story I as a manga reader of this series just loved it 

Both follow the common theme of fighting demon-like beings but each has a unique take on it. Both main characters also have a generally laid-back and unconventional personality. They have high quality animation and intriguing stories. 

Both are very dark animes where they fight against similar demons/monsters characters. Both have a small group of protaginists with a strong mentor (JJK = gojo) (CSM = Makima) Both are newer seiries with amazing animation. 

Simmilar levels of violence and combat systems. 

Same vibe about demons lending their power to humans (at a cost), both have visually stunning animation, a god-tier OP, darker plot lines, & similar character dynamics: -Goofy & clueless main character, who becomes badass when he needs to be -Female side character who starts out annoying at first, then grows on you -Quiet & serious male side character carrying a lot of baggage, but opens up later on  

Im going to be contrivertial here and say that they feel almost like the same thing in many aspects, just the decisions made with the characters is a little different

Both Yuji from Jujutsu Kaisen and Denji from Chainsaw Man are extroverted and jovial individuals. They have a sense of empathy towards people and will not hesitate to rush in to help those in need. Despite their flaws, Yuji and Denji are shown to be kind-hearted and warm 

Both opening songs are insanely good. The main characters hunt devils and made a lot of friends and enemies along the way. The animation quality from both series is top-tier stuff and by same animation studio. 

great animation for both and just enjoyable short show, don't need to know a lot to understand :)

Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw man both revolve around a teenage boy who has been "cursed" and finds a purpose in which they must defeat other curses/devils. The main trios in each have a similar vibe (girlboss, emo that needs a cigarette, and loser [affectionately]). Both stories also start out pretty light-hearted and fun and then out of nowhere become quite intense. I'd suggest watching Jujustu Kaisen first and then watching Chainsaw Man if you enjoyed it. Chainsaw Man contains a lot of triggering themes (gore, assault, vomit, and so on), so if Jujustu Kaisen wasn't your cup of tea I really don't think watching Chainsaw Man would be a good idea. read more 

2/3 of the dark trio, two wonderful Shonen anime. 

If you enjoyed "Jujutsu kaisen," then you will likely enjoy "Chainsaw Man." Both anime have genre elements of action and fantasy, as well as similar themes such as the struggle for power, betrayal, and a strong focus on strength and mastery of combat arts. In "Chainsaw Man," there are also characters who possess supernatural abilities that they use in combat. Additionally, both anime have a strong emphasis on character development and their relationships, as well as emotional depth and empathy for the characters. However, "Chainsaw Man" has its unique features, such as a greater emphasis on blood and violence, as well as a darker and more serious tone. If you enjoy this style of anime, then "Chainsaw Man" may be an ideal choice for you. Overall, if you love action and fantasy, then both anime may be interesting to you. Both fall into a community-made title called "the dark trio" as both shows tackle darker subjects. Both are action-packed, follow similar protagonists and have similar goals too. They're both crazy fun, and if you enjoy one of them, you'll enjoy the other.  

Both main characters are really playful and cute in nature. :) There is also a lot of devil/monster hunting in both. 

Gore, comedy, banger EDs and wild character designs. Loveably human cast in gritty, hostile worlds. Meaty themes that you can grab with both hands! EDIT: AND HOW COULD I FORGET - SWEET KICKS IN BOTH. 

Same style, dark, gore and humor. You need to get used to the anime style but both stories are great. I like the story of dorohedoro better, but thats because i like other worlds and time settings better.  

Both anime have a very similar type of black humor, action, and gore - and I generally find the vibes and atmosphere in both cases to be on the same wavelength. Chances are, if you like one, you'll like the other. 

Similar Sense of dark humor , same creepy , bizarre , bloody and scary vibes , same studio and using excellent CG as well 👍🏼 

*Both have a unique, acid and irreverent style that blends horror and comedy well. *They do not lack violence, blood, and guts. *Both leads are kind-hearted, rude jerks. 

If you can get past the cg, it's an interesting story set in a dark/moody atmosphere with nonchalant badass characters and gory fights 

Both have same vibes of gore + comedy Apparently creator of chainsaw man was also inspired by dorohedoro. 

Characters trying to find their way and are goofy at the same time.  

What really ties together CSM and Dorohedoro is how well they mesh a dark, grisly world with goofy, lovable characters. Both are excellent at striking that balance of darkness and wackiness, and feature creative and fun world building.  

There is a lot of different things betweens these 2 mangas, but i believe, if you already read one of them, or more than that, if you have watched one of them, you must take a chance to other, like the aesthetic is quite similar, but the blend of horror elements with fantasy and comedy insights is fenomenal in both. 

The animation quality Chainsaw Man is unmatched but if you want something out of ordinary give a chance to Dorehedoro. Both of them are by MAPPA. Both series falls under Action/Fantasy/Gore. Check out the opening of Dorehedoro to get an idea of the bizarreness of the series! 

The two stories are "wild" and "crazy". The characters are colourful, but in a crazy way. The two stories dwell on the identity on the main characters, with the true identity of Caiman, and with Denji being Chainsawman and being as "Chainsawman" and not really as" Denji" 

- Both have similar dark humor style, super gory, gritty, and made by MAPPA - Both MC are ESTP chill guy who can be ruthless sometimes if needed - Both MC don't really have moral code, they just do what they want - Both show are rich in morally gray character 

Both are fantastic adaptations by MAPPA. Both are grimdark with no plot armor. Excellent writing, pacing and gorgeous animation. Both are fantasy battle series with demonic terrifying monsters. Both are deep series with excellent character development. If you love one, the other will be the perfect next watch. ❀ 

The same plot where it involve roque characters who find themselves drafted to work for some entity to fight one of their own. 

Similarities: The same character plot where special people found themselves drafted in to performing special task. The same situation where special guy is partnered with a female boss. Dissimilarities: One anime was set in some alternate world where demons roam and wreak havoc in the populace. The other one was set in early Japan shogunate where the characters were tasked to investigate a certain place, where danger lurks.  

-Both are dark-fantasy battle shounen manga animated by Mappa, with lot of fights, blood and emotive moments. -Kaku Yuji (Jigokuraku) was assistant of Tatsuki Fujimoto (Chainsaw Man) during 2016-2018, so his work is really influenced by Fujimoto's Style. -While in Chainsaw Man, humans use the power of the Pacts and Devils' Heart to counter the Devils, in Jigokuraku humans learn to use the power of TAO to counter the "Tensen". (Short words in both series the human protagonists fight fire with fire.)  

Both shows include a male protagonists at a low point in life who are willing to take dangerous and sketchy offers in order to survive. They are also both persuaded by seemingly sweet but manipulative female "boss" characters. Lots of blood and gore within the fight scenes. Both include monsters or otherwordly enemies. Character devlopment for many people is seen in both. The only major difference is that Chainsaw Man takes place in a very modern setting whereas Jigokuraku is a historical show. 

Jigokuraku ( Hell's Paradise ) and Chainsaw Man shares kind of same story line and the fight scenes are amazing . Characters also are same in nature just Gabimaru is Married xD... i would suggest you guys to watch it for sure  

Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen and Hell's Paradise are renowned for their grisly and gruesome themes, tackling serious issues with a gory approach. As a result, the three have been coined the "dark trio" of anime by the animanga community. 

Grim and gritty yet action packed and exhilarating exploration of lack of social cohesion, extreme poverty and unceremonious, non-melodramatic suffering in corrupt urban dystopias. ESTP main characters with tragic lives 

Similarly charismatic cast, crazy off-the-rails plot & emotional beats 

Both are hiding some interesting twists in the story and having no sugar-coating for drastic moments. Meanwhile Chainsaw Man is more mystical, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is more technical, yet both of those pieces are trying to give you some good vibe and action with the building tragedy in the background. 

Similarly action-packed, dark and gorey in addition to an interesting plot and charismatic characters. 

Watch this if you like strong women. 

Chainsaw Man seems like one of those stories that have been directly inspired by Devilman, so I think it is apt to make this recommendation. Both are stories of a human character who eventually becomes a devil, and must deal with the repercussion having both a human and a devil side. The stories revolve around the dichotomy of being a savior vs an outcast, and have lots of action, blood and gore. 

Chainsaw man has been obviously inspired by both the original Devilman and Devilman Crybaby. Both have great animation and music, with stupidly naive and "pure" MC that are also bloodthirsty demons. If you like anime, you NEED to see at least one, the hype is real for CSM and Devilman Crybaby is the best anime of 2018, you can't change my mind 

Both are demon hybrid human leads starring in the role and lots of ultraviolence in it too and moments of suggestive content and a strong edgy and trippy feel to the chaos too. 

Both are brutal, gory, mature, surreal, psychological, tragic, intense, full of sexual themes. Supernatural series where the MC becomes a human-hybrid demon. 

Both shows have similar story structures. Our protagonist(s) encounter a devil and get turned into a hybrid of a man and devil (Hence the name, Devilman), which hunts other devils. Both shows also are very graphic and show in full detail the aftermath of devil slaughtering. 

both anime deal with demons and humans. The MCs in both anime have a dark past end up becoming demon hunters 

Both focus around high octane action demon slaying and lots of violence in it. 

Both series have a really good story and a fair amount of blood and gore in them, as well as both of the MCs have a distinct goal in mind, and are even willing to do some crazy shit to achieve them. Chainsaw man and demon slayer both contain demonic-like creatures portrayed as the enemy, but some are also used for good.  

So the similarities between these two is that Tanjiro is hunting demons meanwhile Denji is hunting devils. Chainsaw man more violent and gory than demon slayer. 

Both have had characters who have their lives changed randomly out of nowhere one day and are caught up in a strange and chaotic action scenario too. 

Both have perv main characters, fight monsters/demons and is aimed at a Mature audience. This is existentially a tamer version of Gantz, 

Both are very similar in terms of their world and characters. Both has crazy action sequences and philosophical motivations behind them.  

Both feature a protagonist who goes through a "life changing" experience and have to go on life-threatening missions and meet interesting new characters. Both protagonists are teenagers craving female touch. The stories (overall) are avant-garde and hold nothing back. Gore. 

A story about humans filled with crazy shenanigans. Fujimoto has also stated FLCL was an inspiration for Chainsaw Man. 

FLCL was a big inspiration behind Chainsaw Man, with Fujimoto even describing his hit manga as "evil FLCL" and I agree with this assessment. While they're very different in tone and story, they're both action-packed romps about deeper issues at their core. FLCL features a female character who is spunky and upbeat, as well as masking her true intentions when it comes to the male lead, and both of those features show up in CSM as well. FLCL and CSM also both follow the young male lead in his relationships with older women and examine the characters while doing so. 

Fujimoto himself stated Fooly Cooly to be his one of main inspirations for Chainsaw Man. If you watch it, you surely will find similarities. It has arguably one of the best anime osts of all time and is absolute fun ride. IT'S REALLY GOOD, YOU SHOULD WATCH IT. 

Main theme: cooperation with another species and being a connector of two worlds. 

- Both shows have same premise about monsters and humans - Both shows have same main characters about want to have a normal life - Both shows have same concept when a supernatural entity posess the main character - Both shows have human vs supernatural entities fights/wars  

• Story centred around a character who is half human half devil. • Human vs Devil is somewhat the main concept in both of this anime. • Both the anime doesn't shy away from showing raw brutality. • Both the action thriller heavily explore the inner psych of our MC.  

Both MCs are literal demon, simply assisting the humankind to achieve peace and threat-free life. However, the deeper the plot is, the more you, as a reader, find how twisted the situation them MCs are sarificing themselves for. 

Both have an mc that has a dead father and that turns into a demon/devil. 

Both are dark storydriven shonen series with graphic imagery. 

Both mc's are human and some sort of supernatural being, and they also kill those same supernatural beings. Both mc's also experience loss and overall the shows are extremely bloody. (This is based off episode 1 of csm) 

Both have "criminal type" characters working as law enforcement to take down threats to society and have conspiracy theory themed stories to them and lots of violence. 

- both have characters wearing suit and ties for work - both have organizations who use people/creatures to hunt their own kind (in psycho pass, the police use criminals to hunt potential criminals. in chainsaw man, the devil hunters use devils to hunt other devils)  

Because it's a strong blend of gore genres for me...along with an interesting plot.....for me hehe ʕ⁠´⁠•⁠ ⁠ᴥ⁠•̥⁠`⁠ʔ 

MCs are former humans who wants and easy and lovely life, and also simps (Denji wants some booba, Issei dreams to be the Harem king). Both were reborn as a demon and have new powers.  

Both involve an organization containing humans with special and different types of powers fighting against bad guys with equally special and different types of powers 

Desperate protagonists willingly to sell their souls to demon. With twisted character and plot development. They are completely different, but same. But different. 

The protagonist gains the ability to turn into a monster, then joins an organisation to fight monsters that pop up and kill people. Both are exciting, gorey, and filled up to the brim with silly humour. 

Protagonist is similar in which they are half-devil half-human (in Tokyo Ghoul's case, he is half-ghoul, half-human) that happened by accident, and all the gory stuff & actions as well 

Special abilities with equal to maybe even better animation. Both are action packed and have a decent story 

The most notable trait these two series have in common is that the protagonists are shown to be horny sometimes, however its not just a "haha funny joke" but rather its taken seriously and is grounded in realism within the story, both in Chainsaw Man and Mushoku Tensei. - Both anime are about protagonists who began with nothing and gained power later on. - Both protagonists simply want a better life (doesn't have unrealistic goals of wanting to become hokage) - Both anime have great action scenes involving supernatural powers - Both anime have supernatural powers that doesnt need convoluted explanations and lengthy exposition - Both anime feature multiple female mcs with strong personalities and powers - Both protagonists are horny (however, unlike other anime, its taken seriously and has a meaningful impact on the plot)  read more
