They just have the same isekai vibe and they are both really rare gems that are amazing. :D 

Both aregood isekai anime just one is summoned as the shield hero and another is summoned as a slime. both are underestimated at first but later on grown in power and become overpowered 

- Battles of monster faction and human faction - Multiple stronger characters among mooks - Main character being weakened, incappable to participate - Characters from original world of protagonist have impact on the story. Its hard to find something like this in other isekais  

Both mc's get overpowered skills, which they use to fight people in order to protect their friends. 

The humour is much the same, MCs have similar personality, Reincarnated as a monster. And both have an actual plot!

Both have OP non-human MC who doesn't really care about humans, but about their own people who are different kinds of monsters. Both are parts of franchises and have similar developments in terms of their own stories - one becomes a Demon Lord and the other one shows off his ''true strength'' (more like just a part of it) to humans. They both decided to go into a war with human nations to make their nation or to strengthen their nation.  

Both take place in a video game world That's really it
