Itazura na Kiss

Both of these anime have the similar high school love comedy aspect to it. What makes both of these anime good is that one-on-one couple, girl chasing the guy aspect. It just focuses on that one relationship instead of a weird complicated love triangle. So if you're into simple, sweet, but dramatic romance i highly recommend you watch this :] 

The art is the same. And both are about Highschool love and rough roads 

Both about girls that love their man no matter how much they get rejectedxD Both males fail at showing their emotions. Both females are less than perfect... both are clumsy and have big voices.  

Itazura na kiss reminded me Lovely Complex when I watched it. Also the kind of comedy is similar.

Itazura na Kiss constantly reminded me of Lovely Complex... Though not all the same, the shoujo-type art style is somewhat similar, and of course both anime are love comedies. 

Since the first episode, i was constantly reminded of Lovecom. Think, silly girl wanting to confess her love and fails, the Romance and comedy is aspect is major in both and the girls in both ways are really amusing. It is also similar in ways to see how the male's feeling for the female develop and change. 

They both struggle to confess their feelings to the guy their in love with .. mean while someone is struggling to tell her that he loves her ! The stories are really similar to each other and they both talk about confessing while going threw other conflicts .. ^^ 

Both of these anime have heroines who try very hard to get the boy they like to return their feelings, no matter how many obstacles they come across. Additionally, both of these anime went beyond and delved further into the situations and problems that creep up as a couple (though Itazura na Kiss went on much further along in their relationship). As is typical with most shoujo, there's a dose of drama along the way- though what these two anime have in common is the fact that these dramas aren't dragged out. They get resolved rather fast and there's a similar sense of warmth that both series give off. Both are light-hearted, with a nice balance between comedy, drama, and general sweetness in their romance. read more 

Girl loves boy, but boy doesnt love girl... 

They are similar in plot (I wont give out information because it would just ruin it, *hint* when its confession time). Itazura has Comedy but compared to lovely complex it is more serious. 

When watching Itazura na Kiss, i couldn't stop thinking about lovely complex. They both tell a story about a couple where the girl just cant stop thinking about the boy but it's not like that the other way around. the couples also have a weird thing why they cant be together, lovely complex has height issues and Itazura na Kiss has intelligence issueses. 

They are both about two girls trying in vain throughout high school to get two different boys to fall in love with them, who keep resisting, with their friends getting in the way so theres lots of comedy in both Lovely Complex and Itazura Na Kiss. I'd recommend watching these two anime because each show makes you want to know if the girls get their guys or not and they are both enjoyable to watch, both have been turned into live action japanese/korean dramas.  

Both starts with the female main falling for the male main and starts to chase after him...... They both takes some time to be together and comedy parts are always present...... Then when they actually starts to become a couple, they have really sweet times together XD Ending with sweet endings aswell ^^ 

Both funny romance comedy anime it will never goes for any boring moments 

Both are very similar in a lot of ways. Both anime are kinda light hearted and rather silly/funny and feature a one-on-one romance about a girl chasing a guy, getting rejected and still chases him, despite the guy being unable to convey his feelings properly. If you liked one, you'll definitely like the other. 

It is a school anime in the start just as lovely complex is. In itazura na kiss there is a dumb girl and a really smart guy making them polar opposites in every aspect. The girl, kotoko in itazura na kiss does not cry that much and goes straight to the point. Itazura na kiss goes from school to college to adulthood, and its a really good love story. IT IS BETTER THAN LOVELY COMPLEX 

Both anime feature a main character working toward a very similar goal: to make a certain man share mutual feelings for them. Throughout both series, they both try very, [i]very[/i] hard to do this and no matter how badly the guys stray away from them, both main characters don't give up and strive to make them fall for them.  

It's a romance that takes way to long to happen, but it happens. 

Both involves adult, marriage life of the male and female characters, with the exception of how the plot flows. 

both anime talks about life after School/Marriage, the obstacles they face .. 

I'm most definitely NOT comparing Itazura na Kiss to the legendary Clannad series. It is a sin to do so. But the story is somewhat similar. Both high school students get married, and their 'after marriage' story is shown. Both husband and wife face perils and soon have a baby. The plot is somewhat similar, but Clannad is much, MUCH more than just a simple plot. It's a world of extreme emotion, dedication, love and bonds. It's a sad world. Compared to it, Itazura can be laughed off. Itazura is not a serious series unlike Clannad. Those who've watched Itazura but not Clannad...see the magnanamous difference between the two series with a similar plot, and get a box of tissues ready as well. Those who've watched Clannad already...well, Itazura's a good joke. read more 

They both show the life of the couple not only in school, but also after it: in University, at work, at home. Different steps which are made by the characters in their life: graduation, marrige, baby-birth, quarrelins and problems of family life. Amazing story, great art.  

Rarely do you see what actually happens after, boy gets girl, or girl gets boy! Well in both shows you get to see what happens after boy and girl becomes a couple! Both the shows is about maturing, and growing up! All the obstacles and hardship of not only their relationship but LIFE itself! The strong bond the couples have in these two animes are also a huge similarity! 

Both deal more with adults than with whiny 16 year old harem kids. 

The feeling and the romance is the same. It also is the type of romance that doesn't stop after they get together, they also show the; dating, the hardships and the marriage. The only difference is that Clannad After Story is more tragic romance and Itazura Na Kiss is comedy romance. But still both were amazing animes, I recommend any of these two animes if you love romance. 

What, there is life after high school? After love? After Marriage? Even after Kids?!!! Who comes up with this stuff. Though the feeling of these two series is different, they both share the honor of having plots deeper than simple romance. Also they both have a balance between comedy and drama.  

It goes past just school life and into there adult life's which must other romance anime don't. It also has similair events which happen in Itazura na Kiss which also happens in clannad after story. 

I will almost never compare any anime to Clannad:After Story but Itazura na kiss is an exemption. Both series brake the cliche in romance and show what life is about. After Story is of course the superior out of the 2, it's more serious drama, and while Itazura na Kiss has its share of drama is more of a comedic-type anime. 

These shows are similar in the sense that they show the couples before and after marriage. However, Clannad After Story is on a completely different Level then Itazura na Kiss. Clannad is much more serious and deep compared Itazura na kiss. Secondly Nagisa in many ways reminds me of Kotoko. They both have a lot of tenacity and determination even in the face of almost certain failure. Although the shows aren't very similar I would still make the recommendation since they cover the after marriage side of a relationship. 

Both feature a romantic relationship and it's challenges beyond marriage. While clannad digs deeper in tragedy, drawing you in to the characters slowly and finally they throw you into lava only to pull you back out again. Itazura No Kiss takes a different approach, focusing more on the developement of each character as a person. Both are slice of life while clannad features a bit of a fantasyish twist. At the end having watched both anime I can pretty much say- Itazura na kiss is a bit more light hearted, and brings out a kind of warm hearty laugh. Don't get me wrong it can be harsh as the female mc has it rough. There were times that I wished that I could go in there and beat the mc with a baseball bat. Not because he's dense but because he isn't honest with himself, to the point were you wonder how the female mc puts up with it.(I personally feel amazed at her inhuman patience) However in the end because of that you will let out a warm hearted laugh all the more. Clannad AS on the other hand is going to rip you're heart out of you're chest, make you cry(Might wanna leave the windows open to let the water out) and then fix you up making the world right again.(That scar will still be there though for the most part) One thing I need to mention is that to get the most out of both anime you need to watch the entire thing through and through. Don't get off the emotional rolercoaster even if you feel it's to much. Especially Clannad AS. From my experience people will drop Clannad AS when it hit's the peak and let me tell you if you don't get to the end of the ride you will feel all that much worse. read more 

If you think Clannad: After Story is too emotional for you, but love the story, then watch Itazura na Kiss. While there are a lot of anime that revolve around the relationship between 2 people or even explore the relationship, these are the only 2 anime I've ever seen take a simple relationship so far. The big difference is that Itazura na Kiss is incredibly light hearted. 

if ur looking for anime which covers school life, career, family must watch this two animes, very well written and fun to watch. 

These animes are similar in the fact that they both have very great romance that go further than most animes. 

Both are characteristic Josei stories with a cold but extraordinarily talented male character who is pursued by a ditzy but endearing female character. Nodame revolves around the theme of classical music whereas Itazura focuses on the movement of the characters through from being teenagers to adulthood and around healthcare. Both are superb but Nodame is arguably a masterpiece ... 

The main character is female and not as refined as the male lead and initially not as serious as he is. She eventually makes the male lead have feelings for her and end up together.  

The character are very similar, somewhat identical. Male lead being the cool and perfect type, while the female lead is high spirited... 

Both lead charcters are the same. Female characters are free spirited beings who are not ashamed to show their affection for the male leads. Both Male leads are those cool types who likes to hide their true feelings. 

Again, a girl chasing a guy who, despite his full knowledge, constantly brushes her off and finds her very annoying. I also found this very, very amusing! Check it out! 

Both anime's feature a heroine who's in love with a seemly cold character, who falls in love with the heroine as the series progresses.  

both characters was obssesed with a cute boy character and throughout the story how their realtionships start to grow. 

The Male Lead Is Best At Something.. Like Irie Is The Best In Studies And Chiaki Is The Best In Piano. Both I Guess Are Perfectionist. For The Female Lead, Both Are Very High Spirited. Both Also Chases The Guy They Like Even Though Rejected? And Both Starts Out With The Guys Being Mean Towards The Girls And Then Eventually Forms Romantic Feelings Towards The Girls Overtime. 

Similar relationship between the two main characters and their personalities as well.  

For all the reasons stated above. They are indeed very similar. Nodame is actually slightly more enjoyable for me (only because I have a background in music) if I'm being honest and I LOVE Itazura. I'm a sucker for a cold-hearted albeit gorgeous/smart/talented guy getting his emotional walls broken down by a plucky girl "trying her best" without him even realizing it and then they both get a happy ending - my favorite kind of story <3 

itazura na kiss and nodame cantabile are two of my favorite animes! they're both rom/coms and have a similar humour. the relationship between the leading male and female in both animes are similar as well. 

They both have male protagonists that are praised as geniuses, and tenacious and hard working. They're both romance stories that covers a period of time, and with the female protagonist chasing after the male protagonist. 

These two are very very similar in many many aspects 1. Both about a life-long romance relationship. Typically in anime it's just highschool romance, but in these two, both proceeds to university and career (Itatsura even proceed to having baby lmao)! In Itatsura, main characters later became doctor and nurse, and in Nodame Cantabile --pianist and conductor. If you are craving to watch in a sweet relationship that won't make you go 'Ughhhh WHY DID IT END SO SOON I WANT MORE!' then only these two will satisfy you! 2. Female and male protagonist both have similar characteristic. Male character being quite 抖S(which in English means being high-up and a bit arrogant at time) but have soft-spot for our female character). While the female character being positive, like a little sun and melt the 'iceberg' 3. Decent plot that really drags you in into the character's life. Itatsura no kiss is probably the most famous shojou manga out there with coutless movie/ TV show, that's because the characters' personalities are very iconic and we all love the way the plot was laid out. While in Nodame Cantabile, the plot also proceed in a very comfortable pace and do not have anything awkward. 4. THE FEELING OF LIVING THEIR LIFE. Idk if you have this feeling when you finish watching an anime...after witnessing the character finishing off their life journey, it feels like you just finished living through a life-time and you just want to linger there for longer! That's the feeling I got when I finished these two...and only in these two among all 200 something anime that I have watched. Sometimes I often ask myself, so which one is better? The answer I will give is Nodame Cantabile for solely two reason. Nodame Cantabile has a much nicer art style and the plot is a bit more mature than Itatsura. Although I believe if you enjoy either one of them, you will enjoy the other one! read more 

Both of the characters are the same in both animes, and they're relationship is the same as well. Both animes end up having the female in the house of the male somehow, and the male is smart while the girl is dumb. The male is annoyed at the female in the beginning in both animes, but then starts developing feelings for her. The female also falls in love first in both animes. The only way I see they are different from each other is that nodame cantabile has romance as a secondary plot, while itakiss has it as the main plot. Don't let this stop you though, both are rlly good, and I seriously recommend you watch both if you like romantic comedies.  read more 

Both of them have a main girl who isn't the best. They are quite similar, but in Special A the comedy is on a higher level unlike Itazura na Kiss. Although Itazura na kiss is not much of a comedy, it is the better romance. I recommend both of them 

The characters and storyline is almost the same. 

Characters and story are very similar; however, the mood and pace of the show is quite different, as well as the animation style. If you enjoy Special A, you will probably enjoy Itazura na Kiss.  

Contain male protagonists who are geniuses and girls who are lower than them in school rankings (Kotoko from Itazura is muuuch lower), both are good romantic comedies 

They are both really great anime's with the same kind of romance feel. Both female protagonists and both male protagonists resemble another a lot, and i just loved watching both of these. If you liked Special A you will deffinetly like Itazura na Kiss. !! I absolutley love both of them! 

Both deal with boy and a girl that go to a certain school that divides their students according to scholastic levels...and both main girl protagonist struggle to beat and prove they are just as good as the top guy... very comedic and romantic.  

Itazura na Kiss and Special A both have the "cute-klutz" heroine in both the animes. Both are heart warming and very funny. Special A includes romance, but has much more comedy than Itazura na Kiss, and is therefore directed more towards younger audiences, whereas Itazura na Kiss is sweet, but is the "slice of life" style. I recommend both, if you liked one, you are bound to like the other. 

Both have girl protagonsists that is strong, clumsy and never-give-up-always-do-your-best-attitude! Also, both main, mail protagonists are the brightest, most talented and most good looking at their school.They both have cocky attitudes, have a laidback style, and are men with few words! The humour in the animes are also very similar! 

-Shoujo. -Girls competing with guys that they eventually crush on. -Guys are cold and apathetic at first. -Drama coated in whimsical comedy . 

Both series' main protagonist are considered highly intelligent at their perspective school but also with a cold attitude. Both series' main female protagonist are determined to achieve specific goal (although different reasons) Both series contain plenty of comedy but also good drama, some emotional factors, and later on romance. Both series has the general similar feeling with a youth's life and their progression into adulthood.  

They are both romance animes about a boy and girl (no yaoi stuff). In both animes the boy is smart and considered as most popular or the best. In both animes the girl is trying to become better/smarter. Both involve comedy/surreality/jealousy/heart-throbbing moments and some disappointments. 

Both series contain genius deuteragonists who make the viewers interested and often admire the way they handle certain situations and manage plots in the anime. It also includes a bit of cute little itoutos, always trying to beat their 'onii-chans' in everything. And not to forget the unfortunately dense heroines. Not that it’s a bad thing though :)

I recommend both animes to watch. They have similar plot lines where a girl and a boy lives together because of family problems. In both animes, the relationship between the main characters develops and as they grow older they accounter many situations that cause problems within their relationship. But I think that Marmalade boy has more love trangle relationships and has a bit more drama than Itazura na kiss.  

These are both about two teens that cant stand eachother moving in together (because of their parents!) And learning how to cope with eachother 

both couples live togethe, but marmalade boy its a little bit different because of their parents situation where as itazura na kiss the parents tried to hook them up. i RECOMMEND BOTH ANIMES! 

in both, a girl moves in with a guy and they fall in love which leads to many relationnship problems. Comedy relief also 

A childish girl moves into the same house as a boy who acts very cold and mean to her. Somehow, their relationship develops into love.  

Both main characters must live with a handsome boy they end up falling in love with. Must see! 

Both are where the girl moves in with the boy for different circumstances. They're both more girl after the guy to start out. The male leads are similar cold, smart, good looking guys. Marmalade has alot of jealously and opposite gender getting in the way than na kiss. Both well developed compared to your typical shoujo anime nowadays. 

(Sorry, this is my first time writing a recommendation so please don't expect it to be great!) In both series, the two main characters live under the same roof under certain circumstances and suddenly go to the same school. Both male leads share the same characteristics, meaning: Tall, handsome, smart, and like to tease the female lead. Same goes for the female leads as they share their specialties. In Marmalade Boy, the two main characters are thrown upon many love triangles along the way, making it difficult to build up their relationship. As for Itazura na Kiss, I suppose the same idea revolves around heartbreak and jealousy.  

Apart from the shoujo aspect, the school setting, the romcom, the most notable similitude is that the main characters in both anime have a similar relationship. The guy is cold and the girl insists to gain the love of the guy. 

- Both are shoujo -Both have the main guy act high and mighty, but on this one He is the smartest, popular guy in school, that's the only difference but in both the guy is an a**hole and have that superiority complex thinking the girl will never leave them no matter how they'll treat them. - In both the girl is obviously very much in love with the guy and will do anything to make them fall for them, also they are very naive and gullible and they are not that smart, they will follow them no matter how awful they are being treated - In both the guy will only be nice to the girl right after something ugly happens that will jeopardize their "relationship" (if there is proper one) and where he is the one that caused it all and then the girl after being hurt all that time will forgive anything bad he did to her right away and start all over again, only for the story to repeat again. read more 

Both involve a girl who is madly in love with an aloof, cold-hearted guy. In itakiss, the girl has been in love since the beginning but with ookami shoujo, she falls in love through the anime. In the end, both guys learn to love and end up falling for the girls and although they are together, they can still be cold-hearted at times. 

Both have nearly identical main characters. Total sadist prick male MC and masochistic girls who put up with the emotional abuse because they are in love. 

both male protagonists are sadists both animes based on school genre both shows show how the female protagonist try to win over her male  

1. Both main characters are females and are a little clumsy but has a good heart 2. The main male lead are both a tease and annoying at the beginning but then develops feeling for the heroine Itazura na kiss I believe is more serious in some episodes and more realistic in portraying romantic relationships while ookami is more light-hearted and girly.  

School Boy at first does not feel the same about the girl Romance Stubborn girl who doesn't give up on the guy 

The characters in each show share similar traits, with the energetic girl being madly in love with the harsh treating boy. Despite the harshest moments, the girl is unable to love someone else While Ookami mainly focuses on high school, Itazura goes beyond into university and further 

both shoujo, sadistic male lead, persistent female lead who has one sided love 

the first thing i thought when watching this was Kare Kano. extremely smart male lead and, differing from Kare Kano, a not so bright girl. they clash and give a very similar feel to KK. if you liked KK then you'll defintely like Itazura na Kiss. 

It's all about romance, drama and comedy, it keeps you wondering whats going to happen next, how the boy and girl are gonna get togheter, and the best part: it keeps you hoping for the couples to finnaly get together!! 

If you liked Itazura na Kiss as much as me - be sure to check out "Kare Kano" ("Kareshi kanojo no jijou"/"His and her circumstances") - because it's awesome :) The series remind more than a bit of each other, in sense of feeling, although Kare Kano generally holds a little bit more serious tone. The stories are not similar in the least, but the authenticity and honesty of them are equal. Both these anime, are really among the most realistic lovestories I have ever seen or read in the world of manga and anime. Stories of love that most people can recognize themselves in - whether it's the good or bad times. Also, the evolvement of their relationships, and the long timeline give a more thorough look into the personalities of the characters, and makes one content with the closure - not craving for more - because we got a real story about real people, and we feel confident that their lives will go on, happy and sad, but we got to share it with them :) (God, I'm corny sometimes when writing :P ) I'd say just about anyone would enjoy and like both of these anime because they are indeed very universal.  read more 

[ENG] The beginning of the anime are the same, there is a Super Girl (Kare Kano) is a super guy (Itazura to Kiss) In the 1-m, it holds a secret that she loves attention and doing all that, she would always say: "What do you fellow" "I want to be like you", etc. therefore hard to study and stuff like that, but one day come home to her boyfriend and she was "not heavily made-up in the whole of begudyah" opens the door (thinking it's her girlfriend or someone else (here, I forgot = ( who exactly) and sees his school friend who did not depart from it in school and not to divulge her secret, she becomes crudely speaking his slave on a "small" work ... And then the fun begins: P In the 2-m, it is super guy - a man with a beautiful appearance, intelligent, sporty, but with a heavy character, refuses girl in rough form, which wanted him to confess his love ... After some time, this girl moves into a house to his father's best friends (if I am mistaken, then forgive me) and what she sees - she sees the terrible guy, and she has to live with him under one roof ... The overall picture of the anime starts the same, guy and girl in this anime met in a very embarrassing situation (in the second case it is the life in the same house), and so this story about love ^ __ ^ Begins P.s. Both are pretty similar-feeling shows, featuring a high-school girl who's pretty kooky falling in love with the high school's most popular guy, and then hilarity and drama ensue. 

This anime is similar to itazura na kiss because their main subject is love. Both have interesting and funny things. And some of the characters are very interesting. 

Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou or his and her complications is a bit of an older anime but it is very similar to itazura na kiss, and it will leave you satisfied. like Itazura it has a male and female who at first seem to hate each other however through a series of events and fortunes their relationship progresses and it leaves you with a happy feeling in your heart. 

Both are about a boy and a girl falling in love in high school Both have lots of character development Both deserve more attention 

I can't think of a way to get into specifics without spoiling something, so I'm just going to say they are pretty similar in terms of the jokes they make. 

In both series, the male protagonists share one similarity but have opposite personalities i.e. They are always saving the female protagonists & both are popular among girls. In Itazura na Kiss, the female is always chasing the male while he keeps ignoring her. However, in Kaichou wa Maid-sama it's the opposite. Also, both female protagonists are hard-working and clumsy.  

It is a comedy and romance anime too, you obviously loved it!

both take place in a highschool setting, and both are very cute romance shoujos 

Both of these Anime involve future dreams, finding true love and getting to know the other person better, not to mention living in close proxemity to a person, even if for Suzaka it is in thesame apartment complex that the male protagonist has. It is also about finding ones dreams. 

Both are about unrequited love and about proving yourself despite what anyone else says. It's about chasing your dreams and the person you love. Both shows involve a protagonist that helps both themselves and their crush learn more about themselves as they begin to open up to the other person. 

Itazura timeline is longer but you almost get the same feeling out of both of these series 

They are both similar because of the "Love triumphs over all" concept the story gives out. The comedy in both animes share the same concept too. "If the scene needs funny then it gets funny". 

Both are unique in that, despite being anime, they actually have a coherent story, somewhat realistic character development, and aren't ladled with fan service. 

They're both about romance and slice of life. You will like both of these Anime as much as you will like one of them. 

Skip beat and Itazura na kiss are both Romantic comedies that will leave you wanting for more. Heartthrobbing and sweet moments are definitely to wiggle and giggle for. Both guys in the series are really in demand and wanted bishounens by their all-out female admirers. 

both main femaile charachters are strong willed, interesting, funny and amazing. Boh main male characters are handsome but cold guys, untill their codness goes away, thanks to our heroines. Both are incredible, both girls have one-sided love at the beginning. U won't regret watching it! 

Good comedy and romance. protagonisata two very hardworking and determined. a little awkward but persistent! 

very similar you will love it the closest to the same kind of emotions you will feel 

Both are romance stories where the guy is popular and the girl is notorious and deals with relationship developing between two different kinds of people. 

If you have watched Kimi ni Todoke, and felt a strange calming vibe, I'm sure you would feel it if you watch Itazura na kiss. They both give off a Romantic vibe too. 

Male MC's have the same feel laid back and to themselves very smart and attractive to are Main Female character. Both Female MC's are more of a outcast not to bright but have like able qualities as the story progresses. Both series show how real life is for teen's in high school being judged by there looks and not their personality. Also shows the struggle outside of the school life as well. Both narrative's have Comedy, Drama, Romance, Slice of Life, School, and Shoujo elements.  

- Shoujo highschool rom-com. - Both male protagonists have a cold personality in the beginning of the anime. - Both female MC's are ditsy and not very popular  

Slow recognition of their feelings. Both guys seems cold and distant. At first MCs are rejected in some kind of way. 

Two people falling in love. Boy (Rich Family) with a Girl (Not so rich). Basically a story that shows how they came to be and the struggles they go through. -Mixture/Confusion about different feelings such as Hatred, Love, and Jealousy. 

These animes explore the rich world with yours trobles and glorious. Tsukushi's (Hana yori Dango) school life is difficult like Kotoko's (Itazura na Kiss) life and some big changes happens in both main characters' life. It's interesting to watch both, they're very nice. 

If there is love, there is a relationship. In both series, there's both of that. Both series features a plain looking girl who attracts the attention of a very popular guy at school. They have a strange relationship at first but later on begins to have real feelings for one another. Both series takes place at a school environment that brings forth drama, comedy, romance, and other factors that also deals with some emotions. There are supporting characters in both series that becomes obstacles to the duo in their perspective series often creating complications in relationships.  

Both anime is about high school and love growing between the two main characters. But Itazura na kiss is throughout their young life until adulthood which is great as it shows 'love' can last throughout high school, university and work. Also if you want comedy next to love then you will truly love the beauty of Itazura na Kiss. Furthermore, the two animes is about opposite attraction. So give it ago.  

I think romance fans will love both, similar art and animation. Different genres though, shoujo romance vs shounen romance which means badass dream male MC vs the typical oblivious shounen male prototype we all know/hate. 

Love and Comedy. That's reason why we watch these kind of animes. Both female main characters are in love with the male main character and they will do anything to be with them. With that in mind, "Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun" is an anime that main love story with little sidestories really funny. 

I was surprised no one had recommended Itazura na Kiss yet, since it has a similar feel to it. Both have: ~A strong love connection ~The story shows the characters growing up ~A very heart-warming story, with an equally heart-warming ending If you like one, you'll probably like the other :) 

Clannad is like the first part of Itazuma na kiss, one of the best love stories not only in anime, in the history. Clannad an Clannad After Story show the greatest moments of an anime history, and not only love. The life, plenty. 

Tbh, these two series have a few similarities worth mentioning. While lacking supernatural elements from Itazura na Kiss, both series features a normal girl who one day meets a man who is cold, popular at school, and has a very strong will. Both series takes place at a school life setting where daily events takes place also involving other characters. Both series main male protagonist has a cold demeanor but deep down cares for the main female protagonist. Both series also features comedy, drama, romance, and some emotional moments.  

Nanami, like Kotoko attends high school. She is also loses her home (because of her father's gaming debts), she starts to live with Tomoe, a powerful shrine familiar, who is not at all happy about having to protect her. The similarities end here. Although Nanami needs protection, she is not submissive like Kotoko and she learns to stand up for herself, gradually becaming an equal partner to Tomoe. The romance is funny,cute and heratbreaking at the same time, the storyline is very good. There is also competition for her attention: along Tomoe we have Kurama, Mizuki and other hot bishounen boys with a crush on Nanami. 

Both main female roles are clumsy, The main male role are always mean to them but ends up helping them and falling in love :3 

Ai Yori Aoshi is about a person who starts an unapproved relationship with her childhood crush. The series has 2 seasons, the two never get together but the moments they share bring them closer together. It is set primarily in college and their home. Itazura na kiss spans high school life, college life, and finally ends with the characters in work. Very much like Clannad. Ai Yori Aoshi is a charming anime, however, if you felt like you could have seen more development and progression through life, then Itazura Na Kiss is a suitable fit.  

In my opinion Nana is definitely similar to Itazura na Kiss. Itazura na Kiss follows the life of Kotoko from her high school years to adulthood as with Nana. Also, i feel the main girl characters (Nana (Haichi) and Kotoko) are very similar for their "clumsy but keeps trying" attitude. Indeed there is a lot of drama in both, however Nana uses that drama and brings it to a next level. It is Itazura na Kiss in a more mature way. I had heartaches and heart warms through watching both of these amazing anime series. I was really surprised to find only ONE recommendation of Nana to Itazura Na Kiss since this is the first anime that pops into my head when i think of the two. I truly truly hope whoever reads this will watch the amazing anime Nana and realize how similar the two are :) ~ Ja Ne~ read more 

both female lead fall in love first (before the male lead fall in love with them), both female are clumsy sometimes, hardworking, determined. both have cold clever handsome guy who also care, although Dojo in Toshokan Sensou is short .  

Both series are based in school. Also the Romance is very backwards and forwards. The main characters are different but one of them is a genius and the other has to try hard to work.  

They both stuggle to confess their feelings to the guy their in love with .. mean while someone is struggling to tell her that he loves her ! The stories are really similar to each other and they both talk about confessing while going threw other conflicts .. ^^ 

The gentle yet (a little) baka females, the perfect prince.  

All in all both animes are different but the characters have similar personalities Kodocha/Itazura na Kiss Sana/Kotoko [Both girls are full of energy] [Both girls are also not very smart] Aktio/Naoki [Both guys are cold and emotionless] [Both guys are smart] In both animes the girl ends up teaching the boy a lesson. Both animes are very keen on show how the characters have progressed and grown 

Very similar main character but I love how in the Yumerio Patissiere, it plays on how she is able to get through things by hard work. Both of them are cute, but Itazura na Kiss plays more towards romance and Yumerio Patissiere plays more to towards values.  

Hanasakeru Seishounen is more serious than Itazura na kiss but they have the same shoujo style 

Similar premise. A stupid girl taken advantage of and treated as a slave by a "sexy"/"smart"/"rich" boy. Both are horrendous.
