Similar shoujo romance series that sets up from high school until graduation.
report Recommended by chibuki
Both stories are about the joys and pain of falling in love throughout their lives from high school to marriage. The concept of family is realistically strong from both of them & characters will face the trials of hardships and sadness. Though this is more lighthearted.

it is similar by the relationship between the two lead characters --both the girls are totally inlove with a guy who's really rich and popular --both the girls seems idiot but really has something inside her~ --[the guys are both cold hearted!]-- --the flow of the stories pretty much up.

Both shows contain a male lead who are geniuses and can memorize things after seeing it once, they both contain a girl that are below them academically and both have a great mix of comedy and romance

Both main girl charecter have to live in the same house with a handsome-smart-cold guy.. very recommended ^_^

How is this not on here !!! Some aspects are similar to this series Just like this one the MC has to deal with an asshole crush. Both eventually start getting closer as the series goes on. These are both in a school setting, however this goes beyond school and into university and then adulthood.
report Recommended by kirito_boss
The main character is also a female student, whole initially has a rough start with the male lead.

Both female protagonists are hard-working and clumsy. The male protagonists are also very similar. They are always saving the female protagonists, are both at the top of their schools. And they are both the most handsome and most popular boys at their school.

Both are about not giving up on unrequited love. Also they have a similar art style and humor and are about the same length!

overly energetic female protagonists, having huge mood swings (from hating to loving the guy, or vice versa) so over the top strategies to achieve what want. old school predictable storyline, and similar humour.

These two anime seem to give off the same emotions. If you've seen Itazura na Kiss you'll like this one as well

Itazura na Kiss and Ao Haru Ride shares a variety of similarities when it comes to shoujo standards. The main male protagonist both have a cold personality but does deep down care for the girl close to them. This is especially true during occasions when they are in trouble and he comes to help when needed the most. Throughout both series, obvious attraction is shown between the duo. There are certain obstacles that also get in the way of the main duo such as love rivals. Both series also exhibits realism when it comes to relationship dynamics with focus on development. I recommend both series  read more

They are both about love between to different kind of lifestyle

Shoujo, lovey dovey romance at its best. They have trouble recognizing their feelings for each other and they eventually realize those feelings

Both are comedy shows about a stoic MC who "friend-zones" a female who his interested in him.

Both of these stories involve a relationship that starts out in high school and keeps on progressing after high school.

The same romantic atmosphere.
report Recommended by Dio08
they're similar because they both have a cold guy who begins to gradually open his heart up to a naiive, spirited girl. though itazura na kiss is more of a slice of life, both anime have some comedy and tell a beautiful love story
report Recommended by yaya33
Sweet, more realistic romantic comedies. InK is less cheesy overall, but if you like one and you'll like the other.

When you look at these shows, I'm surprised-more so shocked that no one has recomended NANA to NA kiss. Fact is, both female leads are similar looking and have a similiar outlook on the male characters. The main difference is, hachi is stuck in a more drama love triangle kind of situation, apposed to an unrequitted love. It's a very easy recomendation, and I believe anyone who enjoyed either NANA or NA Kiss would enjoy the other equally as much

Great romance stories. You get to watch the relationships develop over time. However Itazurna na kiss is all about the relationship and family dynamic while for Toshokan the romance is just one aspect of it. Toshokan has also comedy and action. So overall witty and lovable characters, great stories, nice artwork..

These three are shoujo rom-coms that are about boy/girl liking someone else with a one sided crush but then over the space of the eps, the other boy/girl starts to like them back, they are all very well drawn, animated and have good plots! :)

The main character-Kotoko-reminds me of Tuskamoto Tenma: they're wacky personalities and how they try to get the attention of the boy they love
report Recommended by twisteda
Both have a female lead who's home, for whatever reason, becomes unlivable and she ends up living with the male lead/leads.
report Recommended by ColitaCheyenne
The two series feature an unlikely pairing, or a pairing which at first seems unlikely. The style for the animation is also bright and colorful, but the overall feel for the tone is a fluffy type of slice of life piece. The couple also have certain similarities with each other while remaining distinctive.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
The plots for both aren't really similar with Yumeiro focusing on Ichigo pursuing to be a patissiere and Itazura focusing on Kotoko pursuing Naoki's love. Simply put, one's baking and the other's love. But the main thing in both stories is how hard the main female lead works to achieve her goals. Both are initally utterly (well almost) hopeless, ditzy, and klutzy but it's also what makes them lovable.

Similarities: Strong female lead, Reverse Harem, Reverse Harem (more so in Hanasakeru Sieshounen), Drama, Some Comedy Differences: Itazura na Kiss' settings are in high school middle class while Hanasakeru Seishounen is set in upper class political influenced by historical happenings.

Both of the Main male characters act like they dont care about the main female but yet will protect them the second she is in trouble. Both romantic. Although Itazura na Kiss is so much more longer then Mitsu x Mitsu Drops but still good.

- Both are romance animes -They are both kinda funny and really enjoyable - Because of the prejudgement of everyone they cant get together with the person they love -The loved Boys are very popular and hard-to-get :D +TIP: BOTH AVAILABLE ON YOUTUBE :)

Both are fantastic love stories, with a fantastic girls full of strenght, and guys with an original personality. Real life stories, not about fantasy, or anothers strange things. And in both we see how they fall in love and after, not only the begin.

Classic romcom animes. Though there is no chasing game involved in horimiya.
report Recommended by sajia_afrin_
Both series contain a red-haired girl that encourages the male protagonist to look beyond himself for something more that he hopes she can help him discover. While this one happens from the male protagonist's point of view, Itazura na Kiss happens from the female protagonist's point of view. Itazura na Kiss does tend to contain a bit more drama, but it can move very quickly and capture you the same way this show does.

more toward's the old style of anime where the girl takes initiative but really well done there is and ending at the end and it's done super well really love this anime even though this things don't happen in real life :p Do watch this anime and if you did enjoy it please sent me a message would like to get to know the community better

The funny love story between the two main characters are quite similar. I fell the same athmosphere too. The drawing style is also alike.
report Recommended by Arwen18
The romance development is very similar, and most of the issues in the relationship between the main characters are caused by the man.
report Recommended by ccorn
Both slow burner series that develop and end the same way. They both find a romantic partner and somewhat build a life. kind of hard to say without spoilers but you you get it The only difference is that Itazura Na Kiss is from a female's perspective and Masion Ikkoku is from a man's.

-Both are a very special love story -Rebellious heroines -Heroines have a lot of problems -Both heroes are handsome and popular:-)
report Recommended by Gladarit
Stories are different, but both female heroines are with pure heart, clumsy, always trying to smile (even when they are deeply hurt), they both have just horrible results on their tests. In both animes main guy tease the girl (sometimes because of her scores).

thing that makes them similar is the girl moves into the guys house

Bokura ga Ita and Itazura na Kiss are great comparisons because the underlying personalities are similar, at times their situations are too, but they pry apart in very healthy ways, making both anime's recognizable in emotions to the viewer, but unique enough that the viewer may want to keep watching. Bokura ga Ita and Itazura na Kiss both feature a female lead with larger than life hopes and dreams. They have this glittery sense of love and affection that usually leads them to be highly emotional and intensely devoted to the person they care about. Both anime's also feature male leads who are incredibly  read more

both have the girl loves boy, girl persistantly chases after boy. Styles are both different but same basic concept. while itazura na kiss is more romantic and rizelmine is more on the lighter side.

Kotoko and Seara are very look-alike, they both live in the same house as the guys them love, and both guys have a younger sibling. Also, initially neither guy are interested in them, but their relationship develops throughout the show.
report Recommended by delorean
Both animes present a relationship in which one side of the pair refuses to admit that there are any feelings. They both also display that slightly upsetting characteristic of the male being unnecessarily cruel to the girl he loves, but getting forgiven anyway. Lady Gaga would categorize these as "Bad Romance," haha.
report Recommended by Nintendoll
Basic similarity: Both animes have a main character female that is cared for by a lot of guys, but one guy is particularly cold to her. La corda has a bit of corniness, with the fairy and all, whereas Itazura is on a somewhat more realistic scale. The lead male, cold and cool, are brilliant and the best at whatever they do (pretty typical), and though have cold exteriors, have kind hearts. One big difference: Itazura has a relationship evolve.

- Itazura na kiss : house broke down due to earth quake had to move into father's best friend's house, trys to win a guy's heart -Idol : Parents accident, lives with father's best friend, try to become a star and win everyone's hearts

The style of the anime is the same and both the storylines are about love. With Itazura na Kiss you get more part were you get the chills, because it is sooo sweeet!!!

Two main characters are in love that struggle to be together, and similar character personalities.
report Recommended by Minori-ki
The first season scored a 10 and season 2 is also on the same lines...10 again! What a fabulous way of creating realistic affection and emotion in Anime, this is genius. I'll recommend this anime series to anyone whose in love with "love" itself or one who loves his friends and family or has fallen in love... even if it was for just a few precious moments... "Itazura na Kiss" is also about developments of love between two people of completely different personalities. Sawako and Kotoko share similar traits (Sawako is naive and timid while Kotoko is naive and stupid) but both ladies face  read more
