Both male protagonist faces a situation where they were back-stabbed by people they thought were allies. After facing the horrific consequences of being back-stabbed, the male protagonist sets out on a solo journey and meets female side-kicks, basically kick starting a harem. Both stories revolve around hero being summoned by magic, using magic and fighting demons who are threatening humanity.

Isekai, Harem, MC was weak in our world but powerfull in the new world, the classmates bullied/ignored the MC in our world, transported with the MC and are powerless against the MC now.

- Overpowerd Main Character - Badass Main Protagonist - Genre: Isekai - Closed to being in an RPG, "Time that I reincarnated into a Slime" but plot twist, he's rather thrown to be on the Monster Side than the Human side, wouldn't considered much being a villain however "Arifureta" is meant that the main character wants to go home to his normal world but instead he has the power to kill gods.

Lowlife main character gets betrayed by his comrades, becomes overpowered, and turns on his former teammates. Arifureta puts the focus on building a harem and adventuring. Redo of Healer is much darker and keeps focusing on the revenge story.

The main character from both these series have very similar origins. They have their entire high school class isekai-ed to a medieval fantasy world. This new world uses your standard mmorpg-based ability and skill acquisition system. Another similarity being the main characters being thrown immediately into life or death situations deep down in a dungeon and having to grind to survive. Lastly, they both have the main character having different ideals/goals compared to some of the rest of the class.

Isekai plots are often the dream come true for the main protagonist who finds themselves in the new world, but in the case of both these Anime it's a nightmare instead.

The main protagonists of both series discover dealing with the god(s) of their world is no easy feat, yet face different challenges along the way. In addition to this similarity, for some viewers who are drawn to certain looks in characters, the main characters do have similarities in the way they look, although their personalities may be described as a 180 from each other.

2 quick isekai anime's if you want to get into the gernes and if you liked them i recommend shield hero its 24 eps but a good one

Similarities: 1. the same isekai where ordinary guy finds himself in an alternate magical world. 2. the same character plot where the MC has to find a way to survive and thrive in the new world he's in. 3, Bothe have the same MC who has a harem. Dissimilarities: 1. One involves one guy who got transported in an alternate world, while the other involves a whole class. 2. One involves one guy who finds himself loving to stay in that alternate world, while the other only involves one anti hero guy who determine to go home if he can find a way to go home.

Both shows are isekais, where our main character is betrayed and turns into an OP white hair dude, both are merciless due to their own nature and both uses guns, also both find a group of girls that with those will carry out their misdeeds, esthetically the shows also look similar, from the title, the OP and tha animation (but in the last one I think that is better done in the Aristocrat anime)

Both isekai. Protagonist don't like his new world. Villagers of world opposed to the hero.

Both series are isekai, with a weak MC who turns into an edgelord, an edgelord whose edginess totally overtakes any character they could have.

Both are Isekai Both main characters have white hair Both main characters have a harem both main characters are over powered

Both isekai series feature an aggressively overpowered male lead who doesn't really care about saving the world that they were sucked into. Both also have a sexy female sidekick, but the attitudes and roles of Yue (Arifureta) and Ristarte (Cautious Hero) are polar opposite - Yue is a fateful and powerful companion to Hajime, while Seiya's goddess companion Ristarte acts a lot like Aqua of KonoSuba (outside of creating portals, she's pretty useless).
report Recommended by Kong38
In both of these Isekai, the bonds between the overpowered leader and their subordinates is important. There is also a level of self-interest in what the main character does, yet this doesn't mean they're a bad person. Not necessarily a recommendation for those who are tired of overpowered Isekai characters.

Standard isekai formula

both have gone past the point of no return and end up being hilarious to watch, and both have horrible CGI at times, though Inuyashiki's CGI is much better than Arifureta's. aside from that, there aren't really any things that are similar between the two, though they both radiate the same energy.

Both main character is betrayed and seek revenge but with different ways. Hajime by farming and getting stronger, meanwhile Leon has already strong so he joined the demon lord's army

Just watch both are good but Owari no Seraph probably won't have a new season anytime soon :(

Both have weak-to-OP male protagonist and girls falling for him showing off his powers. Both have dark stuff about betrayals and deceit that the world they live in is distorted/twisted and has an ugly history that has been covered up by the real antagonists. Only difference is that Arifureta didn't suffer an over-padding dialogue; Plunderer unfortunately did. Plunderer's hero is wishy-washy and turn on a dime which got me rating Arifureta higher for Hajime is the opposite of that hero. Also animation quality is subpar in both shows but Arifureta seems to be tolerable given it's only one-cour. If you're looking for either about dark stuff of deceit and  read more

I made an account just to make this recommendation because I don't really see it recommended a lot but these 2 anime are pretty similar so here we go. Similarities **Both MC are teenagers who start off very weak. (Kaneki barley knowing how to fight/mentally scared because he is a ghoul. And Hajime with the worst abilities in the class/ also bad at fighting.) **Both MC start off with black hair, after a lot of pain get white hair. (This doesn't matter much to the story but I know that some people love physical appearance changes when the MC gets stronger. **Both MC have to overcome the odds,  read more

If you like anime with cute girls, good battles and a bit of comedy, I recommend watching this anime (part 2)

get yourself a taste update and watch this series. MC gets stronger and better with his clever rather than just brute-forcing his way through. One streak of luck changes his life around and there is harem, and actual characters in this isekai.

ive watched both and like them very much becase their is a lot of action and things that will never happen in real life
report Recommended by cloudyhen
Kind of the same feel with the dungeon and the mc becoming "bad"
report Recommended by 4N1M31SG00D
Both are examples of very generic typical light novel power fantasy anime with mr overpowered cool guy as the mc.

It's a very fun and nice fantasy type anime, enjoy.

Harem Gets more girls along the way op Nice action scenes and ok CGI.

"First of all, the isekai part, where they both come to an unknown world and are thrown into the most dangerous place alone. In Lv2, he forms a harem similar to the one in Arifureta. The one who resembles the most is the djinn from Lv2 with Tio from Arifureta. But this can't be compared with the original; the battles in Arifureta are next level, and if I were to choose between them, I would definitely choose Arifureta. However, it's nice to see something similar but different.

Both mc's are thought of to be weak and useless compared to their peers. When abandoned by their peers, the mc gets stronger and gets new, better allies (who are all female).

The shows are pretty different but the similarities reminded me of them Mc from earth going/transported to another world Mc has main small blonde female companion Action/harem anime

These two animes are one in a bunch and personally have the most in common with. -Both are Isekai -Both have OP mc's -Both Eins and Hajime look down on all others and consider them expendable -Both have a "get in my way and you will die" mentality If you are a fan of the isekai and OP mc genre this anime is a must, both have some great laughs with seriousness mixed in for a golden ratio which makes this a very good anime for those that enjoyed Overlord

- Both anime are isekai (although on Otome he may only be an isekai in appearance, there are several odd clues) - Both protagonists start from the bottom and are treated as nobodies, only to later have those tasty scenes of social revenge when they become strong - Both protagonists get hate at some point - Both protagonists do what they want without caring too much and show off their strength in front of everyone constantly - Both protagonists are betrayed by their friends at some point, although in Otome this event has much less importance to the plot - Both protagonists find relics that make them stronger -  read more

Both anime take a turn in what seems to be how most isekai anime from now on, at least maybe in the next few years will be showcasing. Instead of the normal isekai were used to both series summon (instead of one op mc) a group of people from the modern world to a fantasy one. If you like the concept in this anime you should also consider watching this as well.

Both are isekai that air(-ed) in summer 2019 The mc is pretty overpowered however both are adaptions not done that well imo

gore and edginess are the two main engines both run on and the op but not always op to make dramatic scenes protagonist architype who seeks revenge. also the female characters are the same cardboard no personality nor character development in both shows.

Both are dark fantasies with badass Protagonists that fight god awful cgi monsters that are so bad looking that its laughable.

Has a similar character, a vampire girl, with a similar situation where the female vampire was imprisoned but was later freed by the protagonist and the girl gets attached to the protagonist.
report Recommended by greed2
The protagonist of both series starts off weakest compared to everyone around them; but rises through the ranks overtime to become the opposite of weak in each of their own way.
report Recommended by Bakumako18
Both the protagonist is sent to another world; Both the protagonist suffers a lot; Both the protagonist has some kind of power.
report Recommended by Joao_Jacques
Both the main characters are super smart..much smarter than those around them. Both gain friends who are loyal to him. Both will do anything to attain their goals. Both in the new world can overpwer anyone they choose to by planning or sheer power. To me Arifuerta is the hard core version of log horizon.
report Recommended by Armorking00
If you didn't care about the character designs and CGI and loved the fights in Mob Psycho 100, then Arifureta is the perfect choice for you. Even though the CGI and character designs of 'monsters' are not good, the character design of the main characters is too pure. And the fights are almost mesmerizing which will make you rewatch the anime many times.

High school kids being transported to another world with an overpowering main character plus a harem
report Recommended by binoyvargas
Similar type action and story line except this one has a harem
report Recommended by Chimpoco
Both are ecchi comedy harem romance featuring a main heroine that is of a problematic age. While Eromanga is exclusively focused on heroines of that demographic and is ostensibly about writing novels - Arifuretta is a fantasty isekai.
report Recommended by AgentI9029
I think the main similarity is the fact that they're stories give you an option to take it seriously or to simply not. They both do a pretty good job regarding character likeability and designs but Arifureta is behind on backstories. Neither MC has gone all out on screen, so I guess we could say they are similar in that way. Both are a good watch, depending if you can handle some ecchi and strange writing choices. I'd say the writing choices are good if you enjoy drags (sometimes) and character interactions.
report Recommended by Desmondus
both series are about mass classroom summoning and both MCs are shunned due to a perceived lack of skills arifureta plays like a mainstream harem isekai, instant death is more parody-like arifureta's MC is more edgy and bitter than instant death's, who is more indifferent

Made in Abyss is not so different when we are talking about the passage where Nagumo is left in Labyrinth/Abyss and can't go up so he just goes down and meets lots of monsters/anomalies and after some time travels with a little girl. In Made in Abyss, the main characters go down to explore the abyss and look for someone on the bottom and in Arifureta, they go down to get out of the labyrinth.
