With the intention of keeping this as comprehensive as possible, I encourage anyone reading to help me find more anime and update the text, particularly of those anime I haven’t watched. You can comment this publication in my profile or send me suggestions/alternative text via PM.
----------------------------------

In 1614, the Keichō Embassy arrived to Spain in their trip to Rome. When they came back after failing their mission, they came back and rested in Coria del Río (Seville) before returning to their country, and some Japanese stayed there to live. In their honour, the surname “Japón” came to be, and that marked the beginning of the good relationship between Japan and Spain, particularly Andalusia... or so we thought. Recent investigations have shown that the origin of the Japan surname doesn't come from the Keichō Embassy, but the feelings of deep friendship between the cultures was real.
Four centuries later, Spain continues to be an inspiration for the pinnacle of Japanese culture, which of course is anime. Actually… there are not that many related to Spain, are there? This stack will delve deep into anime with some sort of relationship to Spain so that you can surprise your friends with some obscure knowledge that they probably will not appreciate.
All of these anime have something to do with Spain. Due to their prevalence, references to paella specifically (it’s rice with things anyway), bullfighters with no further mention to Spain, or the simple appearance of a Spanish flag or the name of the country appearing in the background will not make it to this list. Almost every other reference is fair game.

----------------------------------

These are H&E series I'd categorize as "Progressive."

This doesn't indicate quality, originality, or anything sociopolitical so much as being H&E series that have priorities which radically depart from traditional H&E priorities. They could do anything from use some wacky narrative structure to implementing ecchi in some way to focusing more heavily on the MC relative to the harem. Things that go outside of the priorities stated in the traditionalist stack, and either in ways that are far too pronounced to be considered moderate, departing from tradition far too often to be considered moderate, or both.

I'm not saying these series don't tend to appeal to H&E fans, or might appeal more to people who don't typically like H&E. I'm saying that these are the series that don't adhere to traditional sensibilities within the genre, for better or for worse.

My collection for light-hearted romance anime series for romance anime fans. These animes are sweet-tasting vanillas that you can truly enjoy. The premise can be really simple and plain, but they say simplicity is also beauty.

A list of Romance/School focused animes. There are also some comedy animes, besides some drama but not a heavy one.

I wrote a note in every anime I've watched.

Check the other rom-com stacks for more recommendations.

This is the second part of the stack I created which includes all romcom anime I had hunted. Well, 50 entries maximum is not enough to include all romcom anime I know so if you are interested to see what entries are in part 1 you can visit my account and see my created "interest stacks" for the 1st part of this stack. All hail the romcom god!

Tired of watching a show about a single pair of main characters? Don't worry, because this is the collection of harem animes that you might enjoy. Beautiful girls frolicking around a single male main character. They say, the more girls in the show, the merrier of pure enjoyment.

Titles labeled Certified Rotten™ mean they have a Tomatometer score that's in the bottom 10% of anime that I've watched. The Tomatometer (ala Rotten Tomatoes) is calculated by the percentage of MAL users who have rated an anime an 8/10 or higher. A list of anime containing ecchi elements, but are not tagged as ecchi by MAL. While the ecchi content may not be as prevalent or extreme as officially-tagged ecchi titles, there is still enough to be of interest to fans of the ecchi genre. Many of these register at least 1.5/3 stars on AniDB's "tag-weighting" system for ecchi.
Conversely, those who don't care for ecchi may wish to use this stack for cautionary purposes, as these titles may contain things like pantyshots, revealing outfits, incestuous overtones, oversized/jiggling breasts, swimsuit/lingerie moments, extended bath/shower scenes, lewd dream/fantasy sequences, innuendo, or general fanservice in an otherwise serious/"respectable" show.
Only the first seasons of franchises are listed. Some titles may (eventually) have additional details explaining why I've placed them on the list.

Update: 3/7/2024
-Added Wagahai wa Inu de Aru: Don Matsugorou no Seikatsu

Update: 1/13/2024
-Added Chou Futsuu Ken Chiba Densetsu, an Anime about Chiba Prefecture and its locations.

Anime that takes place in Chiba Prefecture or uses this place as a motif. May contain Spoilers, so this Stack is marked as such.
Rules:
1) Must have a sufficient amount of screen time in Chiba Prefecture or use the location as a motif, no single episode visit.
-This is the primary reason was to why "Manga Nippon Mukashibanashi"
was excluded from this list as only select stories take place in Chiba Prefecture out of the large pool of episodes. (One story took place in the following locations: Onjuku, Iioka, Nagara, Sōsa and Ichihara, while of the rest that also takes place in Chiba Prefecture has a blank entry)
2) Sorted by the date of first released anime that PRIMARILY takes place in a specific location such as a city. (Not by the stated year the Anime takes place in)
3) To prevent redundancy, we only use the first season.
4) If the entry is blank, its because the Wikipedia page never listed anything such as a city, nonetheless these entries are still Anime that takes place in Chiba Prefecture or use it as a motif.
5) Entries with a location such as a city that does not in real life Chiba Prefecture will be noted. (e.g. Godzilla: S.P)
6) Anime that has listed multiple primary locations will all be sorted together and has the same year rules as point number 2. For example, Dagashi Kashi has multiple listed locations including Chiba Prefecture City, but is not listed alongside other Chiba Prefecture City Anime.
7) The ones from that only appears on the Category pages will be noted. These entries used additional web sources to specify a specific part of Chiba Prefecture such as a city. Though some do not specify a specific location inside of Chiba Prefecture.
