Interest Stacks  Canal Sur Andalucía is a public broadcasting TV station based in Andalusia, Spain. This TV station aired different anime series in the programming block for kids known as "La Banda" or as a standalone series.   The best Shoujo anime that aired before 2005  While mostly known today as the character designer for My Hero Academia, Yoshihiko Umakoshi's recognition as one of anime's finest predates it by quite a lot. Getting his start as an animator at Toei Animation, Umakoshi was involved in some of Toei's biggest shoujo manga adaptations in the 90s, translating the shoujo aesthetic, with its quirks and all, onto the TV screen. This would culminate in Umakoshi's designs for Ojamajo Doremi, which sees his mastery of creating memorable characters, striking a fine balance between cute and cartoonish.   A stack including all the series that have continuously aired in this TV slot, which has been running since 1984. Might be missing some or be messy: I wanted to add the most important but also the less obvious. Excluding most sequels & movies.   Anime that fit the school romance genre. Usually 12 episodes minimum.   These anime remind me of the days where it wasn't all fan service and trope after trope. Where the characters have real depth and the story wasn't one layer.   After Mahoutsukai Sally - the first animated series adapted from a manga that was targeting the "shoujo" demographic (young female audience) - there have been many more works that were targeted to this new market following the initial success of "Mahoutsukai Sally"   Romance between siblings, cousins.
