IGPX and Air Gear have similar sports. Both the IGP and A-T involve ranked teams competing, battling, and maneuvering obstacles. The mechs in IGPX are really just a larger, form of a human on an A-T. Both are shounen animes with battle/racing and big emphasis on teamwork as an ambitious leader tries to take his team to the top.

Racing takes place in transforming mecha-type vehicles.

Both series feature fast pace mecha action with a sub tone of romance and humor. Both also features a main character who loves and has natural talent for piloting mechs and teammates who support them along the way as they strive to improve.

Searching for actioned packed racing with awesome characters? Then these anime series might be something for you. Both revolve around sci-fi racing and are really nice as a whole so if you like this genre make sure to check it!

So I heard you like underdog tales, where the protagonists enter the big leagues and pull out victories they should never be able to! IGPX's Team Satomi and Megalo's Team Nowhere will take on unbeatable odds, both of them with a hip hop soundtrack that will leave you feeling Toonami af the whole time.

(and also IGPX season 2) Competitive sports: Volleyball / Mech Racing Team dynamic: Karasuno / Satomi An underdog story: both teams aren't expected to get as far as they do Rival Team featuring a Charismatic natural talent you can't help but like: Aoba Johsai with Tōru Oikawa / Velshtein with Cunningham One thing to note, I've only ever seen it Dubbed so I can't speak for the Japanese voice acting cast but IGPX has a top notch Eng VA cast.

The thrilling action of sci-fi racing with cars or mecha like vehicles are just what these two anime series are about. Both are filled with a great story and characters with lots of great races and victories. So if you like sci-fi race anime both these anime series are pretty recommend worthy!

Both feature giant robots in a tournament-style competition.

Both plots revolve around racing competitions, although in IGPX is futuristic while Capeta is more in the present. In Capeta, there is more of a Hikaru No Go type rivalry going on with the main character than with IGPX, which was to me more a struggle with sudden popularity.

The first episode will make you think of IGPX because of its similar mech design, spartan computer generated environment and a never ending highway chase. But then you'll start wishing you were watching IGPX instead because Viper's Creed is entirely unremarkable. In fact, I think I might have done IGPX a disservice by comparing it to Viper's Creed.
