Rewrite

- Both originally VNs - both have a supernatural theme - both have main characters who go around helping others  

Both based on visuals novels by Key, one guy helps out lots of girls with their problems and Lucia reminds me so much of Kyou Fujibayashi, both similar tsunderes. 

The stories consists of seemingly normal worlds with a group of great friends that are having the typical school life. It's pretty simple to believe that they're slice of lives without stories. However, nothing is as simple as it sounds because there's a major truth that exists in both worlds. Both of the main characters wanted to pry too deep into the surrealism because of their curiosity. The thing that they didn't realize is how everything, including their friendship would shatter because of their simple greediness to know. Both of these shows are from the KEY studio which means that they will be very dramatic and the development will mostly go towards the characters. The key elements in this anime are the perfectly done character drama and friendship aspect which does mean that the story will be flawed. If you can connect with the characters these flaws can easily be overlooked. read more

Both feature a protagonist with powers that can't be explained, surrounded by pretty girls and gradually getting swallowed into a plot with world-altering consequences.

Both are visual novel adaptions about a male protagonist who’s surrounded by pretty girls with secrets, who also has to unravel the mysteries that surround them. Both anime share more plot similarities after several episodes in, which are hard to explain without spoiling both shows.
