Every anime I could find that still used cel animation during the early 2000s

An assorted stack of anime series focusing on Human-Robot relationships and interactions. The relationships depicted may or may not be romantic in nature and can encompass philosophical themes of compassion, morality, co-existence, and violence in some cases.

For anime with sequels, only the first seasons of each have been included in the stack. The genres include (but are not limited to) Drama, Slice-of-Life, Romance, and Psychological.

Anime with Cyborg characters have been excluded from the list, with the exception of Ghost in the Shell because of a major plot point.

A very basic, yet common trope in anime. A normal guy, typically down on his luck finally meets the perfect girl! She just shows up in his life. But she's not from earth. She's an alien or is some kind of other otherworldly being.

Strong gradients; metallic, unsaturated or cold colors (greenish yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet); blobs, shiny textures, 90's futurism, robotic or serif fonts. Trends are towards Sci-Fi, Mystery, Action and Suspense.
