Gangsta.

Imagine a world where the law plays no vital part in, it’s your way or the death highway… if your attentions are drawn in then prepare yourself for a joyous ride filled with money and bloodshed. The quality of the songs presented by these giants are just the tip of the iceberg in this overwhelming experience. ‘Gangsta’ plunges right into business, showing the sickening circumstances and filth which existed in front of your very doorstep. Might makes right and territory comes with it, the only victors are the ones equal in footing but deadlier in passion and would do whatever necessary to erase a target. Sexual lust, death, and the pleasures of killing play right into the show’s strength and it is a must watch. ‘Black Lagoon’ showcase the dominance of a woman, one who is rough around the edges and a killing machine on the field. In a chaotic city filled with the stench of corruption and constant killing, mercy is the last thing one would show. Action and killing sprees are demonstrated heavily throughout the show and one would be lucky to stay alive on a daily basis. Overall, action speaks louder than words and this series is one worth checking out for all.  read more 

Both are located around criminals, mafia and revenge. The action in Gangsta is more dynamic than it is "91 Days" Both are prey to a mental game that can lead to loyalty or family love. 

Since Gangsta. deals more of the seriousness of the underworld, Baccano! is the lighter version of that and yet it still retains its action sequences and intrigue in terms of its mysteriousness in certain things. However, there is more comic relief in Baccano! than Gangsta. Both also deal with heaviness of the characters' pasts as well as current predicaments. The biggest difference would be that Baccano! has more characters that take center stage which makes it a little bit more complicated as it also has a wide interval of time that's involved. All in call, Baccano! is a less serious version of Gangsta. 

This isn't a very conventional recommendation but I still think they're comparable. They're Manglobe titles, both of which have a rugged, urban setting and explore the underbelly of whatever society they're a part of. While Michiko is a lot more light-hearted in presentation and formatted in a "road" journey depiction, as oppose Gangsta's city-trekking and often dower aesthetic; their similar setting and character designs make them feel like they share the same universe. A "two sides of the same coin" situation, if you will.  

Both shows emphasize on their style and have similar music, sharing a mutual music composer, Tsutchie. Gangsta and Samurai Champloo both have 2 main male characters who are skilled in combat and 1 female character in its central cast. They both encompass slow paced action and are produced by the same animation studio Manglobe. The main contrast is that Gangsta's setting is more modern while Samurai Champloo is set during the Edo Period. 

Both anime deal with gangs, mafias, and other groups fighting over turf through crimes of violence and drug-dealing. Both also have characters with physical abilities that surpass the limits of normal humans. There's a good amount of action and mystery in both anime plus the art styles are somewhat similar. 

Both shows have a similar style and vibe. The setting of both worlds focus around a gritty kind of lawlessness where crime and corruption run rampant in their location. Both main characters have something off about them. Their jobs are even quite similar. The characters that surround them are unique and strong in their own way with some exceptionally strong female characters. Worth mentioning that both opening songs are bangers.  

Both anime have lots of action, fights, shooting and killing, gangs, mafia, drugs and sexual abuse. Main protagonists had a rough childhood, but now as grown up's they're pretty smart and good at fighting.  

As the story develops it is similar to Gangsta a bit supernatural, yakuza, friends and their life after being pulled in shady kind of life :)  

Small cast of main characters, good action, older hero. And I think its the same band for the opening song. Despite this being futuristic, I think some of the aerial martial arts has some of the same feel. Gangsta would not be the only anime I could use to be similar, but just for the opening song it fits well enough. 

Two dark and austere cities. One has people who possess supernatural powers, the other inhuman abilities. But in both cases, they have to compensate for their powers and they are feared by many and admired by few. Wrapped in secrets, the cities harbour a mystery or two that are only waiting to be unveiled. 

Character driven series that are full of interesting characters and mystery. With their fare share of fights. The main cast in both series hold mysterious pasts that led them to be together and are key elements of the plot. There is a chill and mello vibe that is felt in the portrayal of both series and they both have awesome music that really adds to the viewing experience.  

Both are action packed violent series with lot of chaotic shit happening alot of the times. 

Watching Gangsta. I felt the same feeling that Dogs. Maybe it's because the crime vibes and mafia stuff, and their styles are very similar. So, if you enjoyed Dogs: Bullets & Carnage, you gonna like Gangsta. as well. 

the story of how violence controls the world and only violence can save you from said world 

I couldn't help but compare the whole "Twilight vs Non-Twilight" aspect of Gangsta. to the "Coordinator vs Natural" aspect of Gundam SEED. Both series also feature great visuals. 

The same underworld theme where gangs rule and action is involve. But, while IWGP were good gangsters in Gangsta, the MC's involve were merely dogs to the big gangs.  

Bungou's 2nd season and Gangsta both focus on gang wars which center around multiple gangs trying to be the strongest  

Both animes have to do with the main protagonists fighting against criminal organizations who have ties with drugs, prostitution and other criminal activities. Also both animes have their share of blood and some ecchi moments. 

Set in European places with a focus on the underground world where crime, cops, poverty, corruption, blood and battles are prolific and part of daily life. The tough lives of the inhabitants of the "underworld", where organized crime reigns supreme, is portrayed without holding back. Both series hold dark and mysterious pasts that are pivotal to the development of the plot. They are both series that are for a mature audience with very dark, heavy and serious topics.  

Though on the one hand, both these series have different atmospheres and settings they they share quite a bit in structure and plot. Both have factions warring against each other. They have people who are incredible powers to fight pitched battles. The two shows have lots of side characters with drawn out back stories that are played out in both stories.  

Both are gritty anime about the underbelly of society. Both feature extremely likable and charismatic characters doing not so likable or nice things.  

Both have an urban fantasy setting,partners a various "players" with a set of supernatural powers as well as lots of action happening in the story as well too. 

let's see gangs check, violence oh yes, with two polar opposite mc's check. the differennces are mc in tokyo revengers is a lost cause with no hope at a lame job and time travel which is used as a tool, gangs whole lot of them ,in gangsta gangs ofcourse, nicolas is somewhat of a wild guy with i forgot his name smoking one as other mc with no aim somewhat like takemitchi although he's getting beaten often mikey is the leader of the gang the other mc. ignore the time travel and youll have the same fun in both in their own terms of real life communities. Gangsta is about underground dealings and Tokyo revengers is outcasts or delinquent motor cycle gangs and no not fun GTO ones the harsh ones both are hint of how gangs and mafia work.  read more 

They show the plot in a very mature way like you can find in real life, also both contain guns and street fights. 

Similarities - MC fights against powrful criminal syndicate - MC isn't necessarily righteous - MC has partners in crime/teammates Differences - Crooks has superpowers VS gangsta has normal humans with talent - Crooks is a heist/theft style story VS gangsta is a guns for hire/territorial conflict story 

both shows feature crime as a general theme. both escalate very quickly and end up way darker then they started. Both revolve around getting different jobs done but have underlying plots throughout. Gangsta and Great pretender are probably my top two shows and are very underrated (also Worick and Laurent have the same VA and if you love Laurent you'll love Worick)  

Both center around more mature themes, adult cast and have as leading figures characters who have anti-hero and flawed natures. Very good and instigating plots revolving around the underdogs of their repective societies. 

Both revolve around the idea of "superhumans" and have incredibly interesting takes on it. same general vibe as well 

The first thing I thought watching Gangsta is that there are so many parallels to Saiyuki! First off, the bromance and strong feelings that Worrick and Nico have are similar to how the main protagonists relate to each other. The piano music and sad themes that weave into Gangsta is VERY similar to Saiyuki's approach as well. Honestly, even though both stories are different, its interesting to see a badass Goku vibe coming from Nico when he gets into one of his fighting moods too! I would 100% recommend Saiyuki as an candidate for post-Gangsta anime. Yes, the theme of the show and characters are different but the OVERALL VIBE and story REALLY seems like a good comparison for Saiyuki!~  read more 

The whole feel of both animes are similar. The colors, character designs, and minimal dialogue.  

Are you interested in action anime involving organized crime? Altered Carbon: Resleeved is one of the very rare anime involving the yakuza in a crime themed storyline. For this distinction, you should consider watching Altered Carbon. If you have a distaste for CGI anime then you should not watch Altered Carbon. Since Japan has been disinclined to make anime involving the yakuza in a crime themed storyline, you often have settle for series involving fictionalized organized crime groups. Gangsta. is one of the better crime themed anime even though its society is completely fictional. 

Kinda dark anime that have a similar animation style 

-Both series involve in gang warfare -Both have a similar plot and atmosphere -Both protagonists (Yatogami Kuroh and Nicolas Brown) use a katana as their signature weapon -Both have a strange girl (Neko and Alex Benedetto) as their sidekick -The difference is that K Project is more on superpowers, while Gangsta is much more violent, bloody, and realistic.  

Both anime have anti-heroic main characters, who work as guns for hire and take all kinds of jobs. Both explore similar themes, such as crime, violence, sex etc. They are both quite stylish and action-packed, and have an overall similar vibe. 

Violence, blood and battles, brutality and unfortunate circumstances are prevalent in both series. Both portraying the "ugly" side of humanity and the struggles of life. The way the main cast live their lives in both series is similar and how they both center around a trio consisting of two men and a woman. Both are very well paced and consist of interesting characters. 

Both female protagonists suffer from amnesia due to circumstance and end up in unfamiliar worlds. While highlighting dark themes both shows in fact prioritise character relationships as opposed to senseless gore.  

Buddy Daddies and Gangsta have similarities in story and characters. Story: The story revolves around a city with high crime activities. Both involve conflicts between Gangsters/Mafia. Characters: The main characters from both anime work by eliminating their targets (assassins/gangsters) They work as a team and live under the same roof. They also have similar dynamics: - Worick (Gangsta) and Kazuki (Buddy Daddies) are womanizers. - Nico (Gangsta) and Rei (Buddy Daddies) are calmer than the formers, and really skilled when it comes to their job. Differences: - Buddy Daddies sets on a more modern city compared to Gangsta. - Buddy Daddies tries to balance between slice of life and action, while Gangsta focused more on action. If you enjoyed one, you might like the other. read more 

They had the same course of action and the same vibe except this anime have a slow paced and a little bit bizarreness. 

Both series are Action and Supernatural. Both series includes gang fights.
