80s OVA with robot suits 

Metal Skin Panic and Akira are both sci-fi futuristic anime made in the 80's. They are both about escaped government experiments. There is a lot of action, violence, and terrible mishaps in both. 

Neon Genesis Evangelion and Metal Skin Panic are old sci-fi mecha anime. They both contain berserk robots and people piloting them (Most notably the main character being forced to). The government is involved in both anime, though they are not exactly the protagonists. 

Both are relatively short 80s productions featuring run-away robot tanks. Fans of the concept might get a kick out of how differently these two end up being, just based on the budget, designs and animation.  

Both about ppl that get involved in a very unusual mechanic situation, wich absolutly in the oldskool way pulls out all the damn stops, It aint over till its over eh!
