(very)Generally speaking... Both series are about humans against non-human-but-human-like-form of unknown enemies. Both have special forces. Both have some kind of rocky development of an atmosphere: from the 'summer vacation' to "all hell breaks loose". No safety for any character.

They are both animes about a superior yet primitive race with terrifying powers who continue to evolve at an alarming rate, becoming more intelligent each step thus becoming a greater danger/terror for the humanity thought a select few who are "special" in ways take it up against these creatures. They both contain some good ol' bloody gore and horror!

Waifus, aliens and fight for better tomorrow. Did I mention waifus? You'll like them.

Both contain battles with meta-morphed life forms. Both interweave deaths with superb storytelling and awesome fights. There is a certain 'feel' that you can get in the last arc of hunterxhunter 2011 that you also get in the second half of Terra Formars which is perhaps due to their similar use of narrators.

Both are sci-fi horror anime dealing with humanity fighting insects much like the film "Starship Troopers". In my opinion, Blue Gender is the more atmospheric of the two while Terra Formars has more action.

Both have massive amounts of violence/gore Both have a somewhat horror feel to parts Both have a large cast. Both are extremely watchable without much thought Both technically break science

At the start of the Terra Formars series, I would never have thought I'd be comparing this show with Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. How could a show about cockroaches killing humans be similar to a show about vampires and pillar men? After watching about 10 episodes, I found the answer. The answer is very simple. They're both outrageous. Simply outrageous. Let's take a look at Jojo first of all and see why it succeeded as the popular anime we know today. Characters are know to be extremely muscular and GAR. Side characters are constantly dying. The battles are remarkably memorable and particularly so extraordinary to the point the  read more

A limited number of weaponized/genetically augmented humans must defeat a seemingly endless population of engineered monsters, for the sake of humanity. Where the characters of Terra Formars are determined to exterminate highly evolved cockroaches on Mars, to stop the spread of a fatal virus plaguing earth, the MCs of Guyver stumble into a society of genetically engineered monsters, with the intent and resources to dominate humanity.

Futurstic and very interesting story line for people who love twisted plots.

There are many things about Highschool DxD and Terra Formars. In DxD, the main characters are trying to kill all the fallen angels. In Terra Formars, the main characters are trying to kill all the Terra Formars. There are many battle scenes and bloody parts.

Terra Formars and elDLIVE are both anime about people with special powers fighting aliens to protect earth. One of the main characters in both series had a friend die, and this is the main reason they fight. The main male character is an orphan in both series. Almost all of the main male characters are perverts. The main male character has a crush on the main female character who is blond in both series. She hates it when he looks at her sexually. The base of each team is a spaceship. Both series have a fair amount of flashbacks. They fight for an organization, U-NASA  read more

Almost exactly the same, both involves some organisations annihilating dangerous creatures. except Terra Formars is more action focused and has less plot armour, while Tokyo Ghoul:re is better in terms that villains has personalities. Terra Formars will give you more tension because the lack of plot armour and survivability of the characters compared to the "nearly immortal" Tokyo Ghoul characters. Both has the same presentation method of melodrama moments. Even though Tokyo Ghoul:re seems less mature, it is more character focus story.

Both series occur on Earth and Mars, albeit the organisms that dwell on Mars are humans unlike the evolved and intelligent Roaches; That is the main similarity between both series. Another quite obvious similarity lies with the notion that the Terrans have a goal to achieve in both series, in Terraformars the goals of the Terrans are to collect data samples on Mars of the intelligent Terraformars organism in order to create a vaccine for an incurable disease whereas with Aldnoah Zero, the terrans strike war with the mars 'humans' which leads to a full blown space campaign for dominance.

While these two shows are of very different genres, both shows have tons of characters getting killed off, in very over-the-top and gory ways, that fans of mindless killing will enjoy either one, or both shows. Do note that some of the later deaths in Ousama Game have some weird censorship to them, while the early Terra Formars episodes had censorship so overbearing that people made memes out of it, although there are uncensored versions of those said Terra Formars episodes, showing off the said over-the-top gore. The two shows also suffer from similar flaws, despite them having ambitious concepts to them, moreso with Ousama Game.  read more

Both involve a bunch of low experience people being tasked to go on dangerous missions by higher corporations. They are also extremally brutal with lots of intense moments and deaths

The story of these shows can be categorized similarly to a B-movie. Maybe not entirely in bad low-grade acting or quality but more so on the structure and how gory movies like that used to get. "Ridiculous storyline which justifies violent acts" may be the most accurate to what I refer to. Both have their characters use different fighting techniques and flashbacks to their training or proper backstory. They get more nonsensical as they go on and introduce bizarre concepts but it's consistently entertaining. There's clear plot armor for some characters but you still get bloody battles and over-expository dialogue as usual for anime.

Both are dark Sci-Fi stories, that are more entertaining that thought-provoking.

similar at -push the main characters to there fullest putting them in lots of death or life situations -the characters are always in danger losing there lifes at any fault -both are in a free lands where nothing but a death fights

Similarities - Both series have large insects that hunt humans - Both series have a group of people that have their aircraft crashland - Both series have a lot of gore/violence Differences - Terraformars MC is male VS island of giant insects MC is female - Terraformars characters have super powers VS island of giant insects don't have super powers - Terraformars insects are high IQ cockroaches that passively hunt humans VS island of giant insects are low IQ, high density insects of all breeds that actively hunt humans - Terraformars characters fight together VS island of giant insects fight separately

Terra Formars is like Fist of the North Star meets Starship Troopers. While they have different settings, they are both filled with manly action that will keep your testosterone pump up. You have muscular characters that use superhuman powers to fight other powerful enemies. Not to mention these titles are very violent too. They have enough action to keep you entertained.

Similar surrealism for horrorific/emotionless super strong beings that mindlessly kill those in its way with other certain evolution and some of its creatures being on the more intelligent spectrum to kill. Taking place in alternate horrific worlds filled with isolation and terror from this solid and terrible creatures. Brutality, lots of violence and excessive gore in both titles.

Both are sci-fi actions where humans fights strong insect-like enemies. Some of the humans also have specia powers similar to the monsters. Both are violent, but Terra Formars is heavily censored (the tv version, that is).

An adaptation that had potential but is a mix of greatness and fail. Both failed at being faithful to their source material, since Berserk feels like a half-edgy shounen when it's one of the best dark fantasy seinen, and Terraformars lost the horror factor. Berserk condenses too much material while Terraformars is too dragged out, and both end of course incomplete. The fighting feems campy, as intended for Terraformars, but not in the original Berserk, and there is in particular a recurring sound effect of a punch getting sucked into void for Terraformars and the Dragonslayer hitting like a fry pan in Berserk... Watch only for some cool moments,  read more

GAR, rule-of-cool, fighting mutant animals by taking their traits, and an alien evolution conspiracy.

Both anime take place in a future where humans are fighting highly evolved alien enemies. The fight is to determine the more dominant species and the loser is just vermin. Suisei's future is far after humans had abandoned earth (thousands and colonized far out into the universe. Their ships shoot lasers, warp through space, and have sentient AI. However, the main story of this takes place in a lost colony and is relatively lighthearted as our space fleet main learns to communicate with a lost culture, until he finds and has to fight the alien species again... and learn their true origin. Both are about space. Both have spaceships. Uchuu Kyoudai has a lot of hardships and feels though, telling the story of the acual hardship of becoming and astronut to go to space between brothers. Terra on the other hand is about characters who go to space to fight and protect Earth by showing what might be needed of an astronaut in the future if Earth needed protection on another planet.

Both are gorey anime about humans vs aliens and humans being infected by alien viruses or parasites that enable them to fight back against the aliens. Did I mention the aliens seem to have extreme bloodlust for humans?

I can't believe people haven't recommended this yet, cause they are very similar to each other. Both have the same setting in future where people battle against aliens, and there is a lot of blood and gore. They also have sci-fi elements in it and Freezing has a lot of ecchi. Both main protagonists have special abilities superior to those around them. So these shows are practically the same.
