These are collection of series showcasing characters attempting to grow industrial cash crops for the majority or for large arc of the series. So much crop planting an Ohioan corn farmer would blush.

There are good anime that stop after one or two seasons despite the source material still having a lot of good ground to cover, much to everyone's disappointment. So we wait, and wait and wait... for nothing.

This list features a selection of notable incomplete adaptations that have stuck in the limbo for at least five years without any new announcements, in most cases far longer than that. For simplicity's sake, I will only include the chronologically latest entry in the series, not the highest-rated or most widely known. The notability guideline I'm using is roughly based on a combination of rating and popularity at the time of inclusion.

What this list DOESN'T include:
* any original anime;
* any inconclusively finished anime based on games, mixed-media projects, or any other non-written sources;
* adaptations with anime-original endings meant to serve as a conclusion to the series (I strive to verify every entry in this regard, but please do inform me if something has been added in error);
* incomplete adaptations of manga and LNs that have gone on long or even indefinite hiatuses themselves, leaving potential new seasons of TV adaptation without enough content (e.g. Hunter x Hunter, Nana);
* adaptations of officially discontinued manga and LNs, as it's obvious the publisher isn't interested in having them done;
* incomplete adaptations with anime-original endings that stop before the part of the source material that very distinctly made the series' fans unhappy (Usagi Drop is a good example).

I also reserve the right not to include adaptations with anime-original ambiguous endings if there is no greater overarching plot thread carried on in the source material, or if the source material also ends ambiguously without wrapping it all up. Those are low-priority items.

See also the counterpart to this list: NotLikeThis — anime-original sequels nobody wanted: https://myanimelist.net/stacks/2355.

List alumni:
* Slam Dunk – a new movie has been announced, which will presumably pick up where the previous adaptation ended and cover the last game in the manga, which is also its best part.
* Spice and Wolf — a whole new season has been announced! Woof!

Do you know what is your "ambition"?

Many parents do not teach their children the value of "ambition", so most of us become adults without ever having asked ourselves this question, and that is a fatal thing.

Watch this series and pay close attention to the content! Despite being colorful and friendly series, they encourage self-critical thinking and teach about setting your ambitions, also the value of friendships, and when it should depend on them and when not.

Please, study mainly for your own sake, make healthy friends, push them and let them push you. Surround yourself with people with strong ambitions!

Have luck!

A diverse list of anime in genre and type (OVA, specials, TV-show etc.) that is outside of #250 popularity. These are some of the ones that I hope more people will watch. The notes will indicate:-
1. Genre
2. Whether it is part of a franchise, if so which season
3. Review (if I did one)
4. Summary impressions.

I watched all of these anime during Winter 2023

Top anime (in my opinion)

New in Winter 2023
Top 1. BUDDY DADDIES, the story is about 2 male assassins who babysit girls, the vibe is similar to spy x family but this is an original anime from P.A Works so there are no spoilers because it is not an adaptation of a manga/novel
Top 2. KOORI ZOKUSEI DANSHI TO COOL NA DOURYOU JOSHI is also interesting. The ML is a descendant of Yuki Onna (actually the definition of a cool guy) the girl is cool too, the ML can't help but feel bad when it comes to her FL, likes to throw snow, I like snow dolls which comes out of the ML
Top 3. HIGH CARD is also an interesting story about an organization that collects playing cards which have powers when played gt, players who play the cards can use the power of the cards like they can become immortal, appear guns, plants, attract objects etc.
Waiting for s2

Sequel: BUNGOU STRAY DOGS S4, in this season an armed detective agency is accused of being the perpetrator of murder, waiting for S5 in July
Honestly, the only interesting thing about this sequel is BSD, the rest is just normal
I dropped a lot of winter 2023 anime because they weren't interesting enough so I mostly watched the complete series

Completed Series: RAINBOW: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin
Adapted from the manga with the same title
At first I watched it because I was curious about the high rating, but it turned out it was really good
About the friendship of 7 men who formed in a special facility to accommodate minor law violators (like a GT prison), one of them is called An-chan (brother/brother) by 6 other people, An-chan is like a role model for the others
The setting is post-Japanese American war, it's sad to see their situation and background, it makes you sad This anime has a very dark story with drama full of tragedy, how difficult and hard life was after the war

Movie: SUZUME NO TOJIMARI, a movie made by Makoto Shinkai about a door that has to be closed because it can cause disaster, the animation of this movie is really wow, satisfying to see, from the scene, the atmosphere, the action when the door closes

Notes: I have definitely watched/read the anime/manga that I give a rating
I will not give a rating below 5, Rating 5 for me = 1, >8 = recommended
if it's not good for me, the status "Dropped" and no rating

from the animelon 'about' page:

"Learning a language can be difficult; often times it is boring and tedious, so we want to help the language learning community by providing a more entertaining and engaging way to learn. The idea of Animelon is to provide interactive tools that assist users in learning Japanese as they watch anime. If you love watching anime, why not make more out of the time spent?"

this is part of a series of stacks on the japanese-language-learning-focused anime streaming site animelon. the anime are listed first in order of difficulty ranking according to JPDB, from the easiest (level 1) to the most difficult (level 10), and then by MAL members of the earliest season listed. I will include include all seasons, entries etc. that are available on animelon, with notes that include information on other series entries.
